"Gusty wind threw a rock and smash one of our storm window. I found Arlmont Glass from Angies List. Called first thing in the morning. I was thinking it is going to be a 2 weeks project (schedule appointment for estimate, and schedule another appointment for work....etc). But April was so extremely helpful. She sent someone over to the house to give an estimate within 2 hours and gave a very reasonable quote. The work was done on the same day as well. Within another few hours, the work was done. While they were there, I also have them fix a piece of glass on our garage door that has a crack. Their quality of work was excellent. Everything was handle with care and they are very professional. Another gem I found on Angies' List. I will definitely use them again for future glass projects."

"Great! We have a 140-year old Victorian with third floor knee walls, very hard to insulate. Rob and his sons did a thorough job of applying high R-value insulation between the rafters, so we will have a cold roof to prevent ice dams in the future. Also had old casement windows in the basement that were falling apart, and they rebuilt four windows with new frames that look like cabinet work. Reasonable prices, great attitudes -- can't recommend more highly!"

"Precision did a great job measuring, and purchasing the windows we wanted. The installation team was knew what they were doing, and made quick work of the old windows and had the new ones in.
However, they did not come prepared to insulate the windows. Had we not asked at a critical time during the installation our windows would haven drafty during the winter.

"Bob removed some existing damaged drywall and torn commercial-grade carpet in my basement as well as some unfinished framing. He also reframed ceiling soffits. Then he framed a new utility closet and wall for a future bathroom, put in wall insulation, installed three doors (one of which was a double door), framed and installed a picture window, and installed Pergo waterproof laminate flooring. He painted the ceiling and walls, installed kitchen cabinets, repaired a window sash, and installed and painted trim, including around some lolly poles to make them look like columns. He also installed matching antique bronze door hardware, insulated a cold water pipe that dripped condensation that would have ruined the new drywall ceiling, and made a nice shelf on a half wall as well as some custom plywood doors for a storage space under my stairs. He also installed wallpaper in the upstairs half bathroom. He is meticulous, thorough, and conscientious, and the quality of his craftmanship is very high. My new basement is absolutely beautiful. Since I didn't bid this entire job out, and because the total ran over the estimate that Bob provided upfront (for example, painting wasn't originally estimated, but it made sense to have him do it as part of the job when the time came), I rated him a 'B' in price. I assume that I'm grading the work based on what I think that the job should have cost, but I honestly don't know how to do that. He charges by the hour rather than the job, and all I have to go on to compare is the estimate that Home Depot gave for installing the cabinets, which was roughly the same as his estimate to install the cabinets. However, as I said, I am really happy with the end result and think that he does excellent work and has helpful ideas for saving money in terms of design, materials, and construction. He also cares about details that make a room look finished and complete."

"We contacted John Tartaglione / JMS Partners summer 2011 to get an estimate to have the exterior of our house - a new-ish colonial - painted. He and a painter walked around the house, and later John sent us an estimate for the paint job. We felt it was a fair price and hired him for the job. He was busy with other jobs at the time, but sent us a monthly e-mail to let us know we were in his queque, and by January - with the mild 2012 winter - John's carpenter was at work preparing our house for painting.
We liked John and his carpenter, and one thing led to another. We knew our house needed more than just a paint job, and, when we saw the quality of the work that John's employees were performing, we asked John to take a look at some other  things we were concerned about - such as the winter resort some squirrels had set up in our attic. John ended up replacing our roof- which had been damaged by hail, removing our attic insulation and replacing it with energy efficient, squirrel-proof, spray-in foam, replacing and repairing windows, clapboards and walls that had hidden water damage - either from poor construction or the 2010-2011 Snowmageddon winter and replacing all of our guters and down-spouts- - - as well as, eventually, painting the house.
Naturally, we ended up spending much more money than we had planned to, but we are happy with the results and feel our home is both more secure from the elements and - when the time comes - will be more sale-able. Also - John was very good about alerting us to work that could be covered by our home insurance company, and he was always available to meet with the adjusters.
Another important plus about John is communication. Phone calls and e-mails were always answered promptly. The work he and his sub-contractors performed was always detailed on his invoices.

"We originally hired Chris to install replacement windows. We were extremely please with the job he did and because of that experience we decided to use Chris to paint the outside of our home. We were looking for someone who could both do carpentry and paint because we did not want to have to go through the trouble of using multiple contractors. Chris did an outstanding job on the project. He found that there was extensive damage to the trim and had to replace and repair much more than originally anticipated. He fixed all of the problems that he saw, including many that were out of the scope of the contract. His workmanship is excellent and he took the time to make sure that everything was done right. On the staining he used a combination of spray with brush over. This required extra prep work to cover all of the windows but resulted in excellent coverage and penetration. We have been in the house for over 30 years and can honestly say that this is the best paint job we have had. On top of the outstanding craftsmanship , Chris is very easy to work with. He is an extremely hard worker, he is very respectful and courteous. He took extra time to explain things and to make sure that we were comfortable with everything he was doing. When he was done he cleaned everything up and removed all of the debris. We will definitely use Chris for other projects and would highly recommend him for any painting or remodeling project."

"Terrific work, great customer service, reasonable pricing. I had Atlas replace a broken window, which was a pretty difficult job in that it was a custom shape on the second floor that needed to be replaced on the outside using a ladder. Tom came over promptly after I called, measured the window, and called me with an estimate all within a few days. The glass was ordered and replaced as soon as received. Again, extremely professional and thorough job, cleaned up after, etc. Very satisfied. I also had them replace a screen on a sliding door that my dogs had scratched. They suggested a special type of screen that the dogs couldn't damage in the future. Took off the door, rescreened, and brought back and reinstalled within a few days all for a very reasonable price. Very happy - thanks guys."
