"Ideal experience with this company! They contacted me and came out to make the bid the same day I contacted them. They were super flexible and worked to accommodate my schedule. I needed to wait until my EV charger arrived from the manufacturer. They came out the day after it arrived, installed the unit in under two hours, and it's been working flawlessly ever since. Don't let their name fool you--John's Waterproofing is expert at electrical work! I will use them again."

"I hired Pierce Creek to wire and install a 240V hot tub disconnect and a home generator transfer switch, and they did an outstanding job. Jacob was fantastic—highly knowledgeable, professional, and extremely reliable. The work was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. "I had an emergency situation at my home where we partially lost power, and Unity went above and beyond in every respect! 1. They were able to send someone out the same day, and quoted me a $299 base fee. Every other electrician I called either said they were at least a week out, or had an emergency fee of $500 or more. 2. The electrician who came was SUPER friendly and helpful. 3. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem (it turned out to be relatively simple). 4. He then refused to accept even a partial payment, since the fix was so simple, and he was already in the neighborhood on another job. I will DEFINITELY call Unity again next time I need an electrician. Thank you!!!"

"One tech, Jacob Bailey, did a thorough testing and servicing of the A/C and then reviewed immediate and future concerns about the system. He made recommendations about further diagnostic testing and a recommendation about the likely need to replace the blower capacitor. Will Adams found a leak in the instant hot water dispenser and said it needed to be replaced. He suggested options for Roth doing the entire replacement and install or purchasing the unit and then having it installed Both techs were clear in their presentation of what needed to be addressed and offered options without any pressure."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Albany, OR

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
