"the company helped use get our house ready as we were converting the house to a rental property. Jim reinstalled floors, installed railings to code, fixed our deck, painted, and did many other odd jobs to fix up the house. Jim is a reliable and thorough worker. I use him for all my repair and construction needs and will continue to use him for what ever I would need in the future"

"<br /> Basements Love US came out in a terrible rain storm to address a water leak in my concrete basement. They identified two areas of trouble; my patio slab connected to the back of my basement and two vertical cracks 10 feet high.  They poured concrete and replaced the slab including a bell drain for drainage which came out very nice. Even built a stair that leads to the sliding glass patio.  They repaired the vertical crack by digging down to the bottom of my wall (excavated) and they used this waterproof gel, then filled the space back with dirt. It looks very nice. The waterproofing and concrete work came with a warranty which gave me comfort. They also sprayed the basement with a mold remediation product and did an OZONE treatment to purify the air. "Kevin had cleaned the original heater for us and told us that it was in pretty bad shape and so when it stopped working, of course, we called him and he was willing to come out right then - which was late on a Friday night. Since we had another heat source, we told him that we could wait till the next morning. Kevin came out promptly that next day and after investigating told us it needed to be replaced. He took some measurements and told us he would call with some prices on different heaters so we could decide, which he did. We agreed on one and he then ordered the equipment. Once he got the oil furnace in he came back and did the installation in the bitter cold of a crawl space. Kevin tested the heater and installed a Nest thermostat that he had recommended so we can control the heat/ac from wherever we are through our phone which we absolutely love. TY Kevin. He came back the next day to install the propane insert. and made sure everything was working well with the oil furnace. In addition, we could not get the propane insert to light that night after numerous attempts so I called Kevin. He came out that night and again showed us how to do it which we really appreciated. We would recommend him to everyone."

"Mike was a great contractor. When the adjuster gave the amount the water co. would pay for damages. Mike stepped in and had them readjust the amount since they were only giving me have the amount it would cost to fix my basement. Mike went above and beyond to help in a very stressful situation. I would certainly recommend him to friends and family for their next contractor. I will call on him again."

"I thought that I had a major problem when I found a crack in my basement wall. This tuned out to be a basic repair that did not take long to complete. The men from Chopyak masonry were very prompt, professional and honest with me. They completed the repair during the time the told me, were very punctual and even fixed some mortar cracks that they found while there. I could have been really taken on this one, but because of a prior good review I called them and I would recommend them and certainly use them again in the future."

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Fabulous!! Had about 5 workers doing the job. Driveway goes down the side of the house & around to the back. Did under the deck by hand. Enlarged the area at the landing of the deck stairs. Did an excellent job where there is a slope that the driveway splits & goes up an incline to the house & down the drive to the back of the house. Edging is beautiful. Had large professional equipment. Very pleased with the job & highly recommend."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Albrightsville, PA

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
