Customers say: Quality work

"I've been trying to get a "small" project done in my house for years. I reached out to several other companies who either didn't respond or came for a job walk and pretty much told me they couldn't do the work. JM painting and remodeling didn't. They gave me a reasonable price and were incredibly professional while they worked. The work they did was so great you'd have no idea that it wasn't a part of the original home design. I will definitely hire them again."

"Brian gave me an estimate for drywall repair from water damage. He explained everything he needed to do and estimated time it would take. Dave was on-time, cleaned as he worked. My walls look great. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely hire them again."

"Do NIT hire this company. His pictures do not show all the flaws. How they have been in business for 11 years is beyond me; everything Emiliano tells you are lies including his pitch about his family being Christian. My husband power washed our deck to make the job easier and give the deck 2 days to dry. Within a couple days Mother Nature blew some leaves and pine needles on the deck which should have been removed (guess Emiliano doesnâ t know what a blower is). Needless to say he stained all the pine needles in between the boards. There are brush marks all over the deck including the rails. Stain is on our siding and sliding door frame. Stain is actually peeling off the step within 2 weeks. Emiliano was suppose to meet with us today (October 21) NO SHOW. when my husband texted him he said he was in a car accident. When I called him thereafter he came up with every excuse about all the flaws and of course never stopped by. If someone cannot admit to their mistakes they are unworthy to believe in or hire. Please save your money and DO NOT hire Emiliano Casas 224 578-2567, you will be out your money and be very disappointed. My 5 year old grandson could have done a better job. He is very untrustworthy, please do not fall for his lies.."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Algonquin, IL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
