"From the moment I met Guy, I sensed he was very different from other contractors with whom I'd worked....and it was true. He wrote down, in detail, everything that was to be done and it was all completed beautifully and in a timely manner. He brought in superb craftsmen and treated them with great respect, something I've found lacking in other contractors with whom I've worked. Whenever I had a question, he responded promptly and visited often to make sure I was pleased with the work. He even built a custom support for an under-mount sink when the one provided by the manufacturer proved flimsy--something that wasn't even included in our contract! I'd developed some trust issues over the last couple years as a result of working with dishonest contractors or those whose work was of a poor quality. Guy renewed my faith. He is an honest, kind, skilled man and I will never use another contractor. Thank you, Guy!"

"We have a 1/2 acre lot.  Although the large grass backyard was very attractive it was not very usable as it sloped away.  So we had a limited use yard, a small patio that could only comfortably handle about 4 people.  Additionally we were paying for watering and lawn service with no real return.  We decided that it would be a better use of the area if we extended the patio.  We also thought that it wold be too much concrete so we decided to put a Bocce court in the lower level.  That gives us much more use of the area.
Our back yard is beautiful and everyone that has been there to visit and/or play Bocce has agreed.  The people that did the work were professional, friendly and respectful.  We feel like we have new friends.
During the construction, we would be apprised of issues and given a choice of solutions.  Most of the time these were no-cost changes.  Their costs were almost always what they estimated.  Most of the cost increases came from my wife and I saying things like "while you at it..." or "can you also build...."
When they did not feel completely comfortable with an issue (E.g., they changed a 220 volt line into 2 separate fused 110 volt lines with switches and outlets), they told us so and asked our permission to bring in a subcontractor (and electrician) to assure that everything was done correctly and to code.  They told us this during the design process.
When things were not done to our expectations, they redid them.  A month after the job was done we saw grass growing through an area where the grass was removed, weed barrier installed and covered with mulch.  When we called, they came out to see and agreed that it should not have happened and are now in the process of redoing that area.  Great follow up!

"Vacation Pools did an excellent job remodeling our pool and installing patio pavers a few years ago. We decided we wanted to extend the patio pavers further out into the grass where it didn't grow and had become muddy. David, our prior salesman, came to our house, listened to our ideas and took measurements. We also needed the pool water drained and some minor resealing done under the coping . A few days later, David sent us the estimate which we felt was reasonable. We accepted and a start date for the following week was set.
The work took approximately 5 days. The workers came and went daily and hours of arrival and departure varied depending on the stage of the job. The workers did an excellent job overall and were all very friendly and polite. It was a bit of a mess in the yard when they quit for the night and made it hard for us to navigate the dogs outside to the grass in the dark through the sand and pieces of rocks and pavers strewn over the area. This is my only reason for giving them a and quot;Band quot; instead of and quot;Aand quot; for professionalism. If we didn't have animals, it would not have been a problem.
As with most jobs, there are always a few things needing final adjustment at the end of the work. The landscaper came back and adjusted sprinklers plus added an extra head for coverage. The pool filler float required readjustment and the pool man came and took care of it.
We would not hesitate to use Vacation Pools again in the future.

"We were very impressed with Bruce Moheit and the work he and his assistant did for us. We wanted the job done quickly so we can list the house for sale, and he rearranged his schedule to accommodate us. They were prompt, friendly, polite and took the time to make sure it was done right. The price was right around what we had already decided the job was worth to us. After meeting Bruce we decided that we wanted him to do our work and didn't get any other quotes. What was once an ugly, cracked patio is now a beautiful space that will look great to prospective buyers. And because it was done right, the new buyers should enjoy it for years without any problems. We highly recommend him.

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Amboy, CA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
