"<p>We selected Holton Bros. because they had a great reputation for the work they do.  They were definitely not the cheapest but they are the company we had the most trust in doing the job right.  We wanted to trust the contractor would do the job right and we did not want to ever have to deal with this issue again so we were willing to pay more for Holton Bros. craftsmanship.  Matt provided us with an estimate and explained everything they would do and that there were some unknowns that would need to be tackled after demolition of the old porch.  <br /> <br /> </p> <p>The guys showed up and really got after it.  They removed the old sinking cement and removed the old brick façade. Reinforced the porch area with rebar so it would not sink in the future and poured the new porch.  They put up a gorgeous new brick that all the neighbors have commented on and then poured a new cement walkway to replace an old sinking brick walk.</p> <p>The Holton Bros. crew (headed by Darwin) was very professional and really did exquisite work.  The actual invoice came in right around the estimate Matt put together despite the fact we picked out a much more expensive brick than we were replacing.  Holton Bros. did not require any money down upfront.  They sent us an invoice after all work was completed.</p> <p>We would definitely recommend Holton Bros. to neighbors, friends and family.  They do great work at a very fair price and we trusted them throughout the entire process (which is priceless) to correct the shoddy work done by the original builder.</p> <p>Big thanks to Matt L., Darwin and all the other Holton Bros. crew members that pitched in to repair our home!<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"Standard Water installed a full-perimeter drain tile system in my home. This work included the removal of an existing drain tile system (original system only covered a portion of the house’s perimeter) and the need to tunnel under an existing tiled shower stall as one complicated feature of the project. Standard Water provided excellent service in answering all of the questions that I had before the work started and as the work was in progress. The company was very diligent in keeping the house clean (removed debris through a basement window) and thoroughly cleaned up once they were completely done with the project. On the day of the installation, the foreman noticed that the previously planned location of the discharge pipe was to be located in an area where discharged water would have covered the main walkway that leads to the front door. The foreman made a recommendation to re-route the discharge pipe to another location, far from where people enter and exit the house. I was very impressed with this as the company was looking after my best interest in this regard even through the alternative location was not as easy for them to complete as sticking with the original plan for the discharge pipe. On the second day of the project, some damage occurred inside the house were materials were being loaded/removed through a basement window. Standard Water came out immediately to inspect the damage, took ownership of the problem and promptly resolved the issue to my full satisfaction. I would recommend Standard Water to anyone seeking the installation of a drain tile system. The professionalism of its people, the quality of its work and its materials are superior to anyone else in the market."

"It cost a lot of money. They damaged a couple of spots on the siding and I had some some siding left over. I called them and they got somebody out. They told me to find whoever I needed to put in a siding and I did. I sent them the bill and they paid it, no problems at all. They are pretty comparable to anybody else. We haven't had any problems. I am just still waiting for the ground to settle and they pack it so far, but it's going to take some time for it to settle. They were out here in a week or so. They stayed right at it and got it done. They worked it on everyday. They got it all completed in a good time. I didn't have any problems. The crew was really good."

"We were out of town while the work was done, and when we returned, we realized that the wrong light fixture had been installed in the foyer (we were also replacing a light over the dining room table; that one had been put up in the foyer instead of the one meant for the foyer). We called and promptly had workers out to fix the problem, which involved placing scaffolding so not an easy quick fix. We were very pleased with the quick response to correct a mistake. "Very satisfied with cost and workmanship.  Original contact was to repair wind damage on shingled roof.  Unlike other roofing contractors I contacted, the response was fast.  The 40 plus years of experience showed as the temporary repair was done immediately without any hassle of cost.  The cause of the wind damage was shown and explained as improper nailing of shingles. To my surprise it was suggested, that because of a current materials special, it would be more cost effective to install a new metal roof over the old shingles rather than replacing the old shingles.  A new metal roof, with all of its advantages, cheaper than new shingles! <br /> I said I was interested, and they took a lot of measurements.  A couple days later I received an estimate via E-mail. I also asked about financing.  The only option was  like a credit card application (5% up front and high interest after 1 year).  After working out alternative financing from my bank, I then responded via E-mail to proceed.  They came out again and made more measurements. They wanted advanced payment for the materials with final payment upon completion. <br /> A couple weeks later the new metal roof install began.  It was a three man crew, they worked professionally, took their time and did it right.  The weather caused multiple delays extending the work over about 3 weeks.  The new roof is impressive, several people stopped by to ask for name of contractor. <br /> <br />"
