"I hired Martinez for 2 big projects in my backyard. They build retaining walls, put down paver, and built an outdoor fireplace. Quality work at a fair price."

"I was very pleased with my experience with Superior Contractors. The overall quality of the job was great, and Clint was very well mannered and professional. He showed up when he said he would, and if he was going to be late he let me know which I appreciated. He did a good job keeping me informed when he ran into unexpected trouble with the terrain in my yard, and he made sure the job performed was to my exact specifications. I would hire Superior Contractors again in the future and would definitely recommend to my friends."

"The work was very good and beautiful but the estimator did not adhere to the agreement that was discussed which was him handling all materials and labor for and agreed upon price. After the first day I was asked to buy an extra $400 in mortar mix and $33 in sand. Also, another thing I did not like was the fact that I was asked to pay some money before the job was finished (which I refused to do) so he could pay his workers. There was visible attitude by walking off as I was still talking to him after I did not comply. I was also asked to go out and gather some materials (which I also refused to do). When I asked him why I had to get the materials he said because he was busy. The next day the job was completed and the appearance and craftsmanship was beautiful. I love the end result but I don't think it would have turned out as good if I had not been standing over them supervising the work. The work was good but not worth the problems I incurred. I will probably not hire this contractor further even though I have a lot more of the same work to be done at my home."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Anniston, AL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
