"<p>Rich Krczaczyk will be my electrician as long as I need one.  I had a problem with an outside electrical box that is used for a flag light and a general purpose outlet.  After some 20 yrs., it needed replacement.  Rich came with the necessary hardware and replaced it quickly.  We also decided to replace the circuit breaker as well.  Both jobs were done in a timely and professional manner and for a very reasonable price.  </p> <br />"

"I have used Organic Home for over 7 years. In the past, there has been some inconsistency in the quality due to which cleaners happened to be on staff but lately, the quality and thoroughness has taken a huge leap forward. I am consistently pleasantly surprised about the attention to detail and I have two kids so there are a lot of details (i.e. small toys everywhere)!"

"I go to AC Moore for holiday supplies. It is a craft store that I use. As long as I buy their products, they will not charge to make it. The girls that do the flower arrangements are fantastic. I have bought stuff from somewhere else and have taken everything to them. As long as I bought stuff that she needed to make this, I did not have to pay for it to be made. They have coupons, and discounts. I am very satisfied. Best time to go is in the morning or later at night. They also do picture framing. "

"The company is very professional and responsive to requests. Sent me info on that they are insured and a pdf with the costs itemized clearly. Cost was inline for most contractors I contacted in the past. ($149 for two-story colonial.) Very upfront and you feel comfortable in hiring them. Notified when they would be out and they are were on time and did a fairly decent job. But I was disappointed they didn't use a blower to remove the debris and leaves but instead just hand cleaned the leaves out. I asked if they cleaned out the downspout and they said it didn't needed it and said they could tell by just looking down. Really? Other people I had out would use blower to make sure and and one even used a hose to flush out the spouts for about only $25 more. I could see from looking down on a lower gutter over the porch that there were still some leaves and debris but the bulk of the leaves were removed. I would have given an A and say I would hire again if they used a blower and also cleaned the spouts. (It's just my preference.) But overall, most people would probably be very satisfied with the overall service. So on that reason, I say I would recommend that people give them a try. I since was able to find a local roofer who said he would clean my gutters for $50 as he said it would only take less than 20 minutes. I would have switched to him but I made a verbal commitment to use Window Genie. He is insured and from my area and knows about the house I live in. So I will be using him for the next time."

"Service was good. They came out to give me an estimate the same day that I called. The next morning they were calling to confirm I wanted the service done and they came out that afternoon. I had an emergency and had to leave before the job was completed. They emailed me my receipt the next day. I would definitely recommend this provider. <br />"

"He drew it and took pics of himself doing it otherwise we wouldn't believe even drew it. It looks like a photograph. We've never seen anything like it. He's amazing. He has also hand drawn pictures of my wedding and of my grand father for his funeral service."

"Dealing with Maintain It All was great. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and totally professional. We appreciated the frequent emails from them concerning the status of the service to be provided. Ryan, the estimator, was on time , and glad to answer any and all questions. He thoroughly explained what the job would entail, and the costs. He was efficient and professional. The technicians who did the cleaning, Keith and Mike, were likewise on time. They were really efficient, and were able to finish the job in short order. We appreciated the fact that they frequently asked if there were any parts of the house we wanted them to focus on. All in all, a great experience. The house looks fantastic. We definitely will use Maintain It All again."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Ardmore, PA

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
