"Ron is fantastic. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and actually showed up when scheduled (unlike countless other contractors). Service fee was both affordable and fair. Well recommended. "

"Techie to the Rescue is great. I was having a problem with syncing a new iPhone 13 to my laptop and couldn't figure out what to do. After making an appointment (which was very easy), we spoke the next day over Zoom and he walked me through the entire process. He explained the problem in understandable terms and was very easy to communicate with. If I have any future tech issues, I'm calling the Techie."

"Do not utilize the services of Solid State Electric LLC. I had a 240v 60amp outlet installed in my garage to charge my electric vehicle. I charged my vehicle overnight and woke up the next morning to find my garage smelling of a fishy/sulfuric smell. I called Solid State out to see what was wrong. They charged me $70 for this visit only to tell me that nothing was wrong with the panel and that the issue resided with my car charger. I took the car and the charger to the Tesla service center and they ran diagnostics and determined nothing was wrong with the panel or car. I had an independent electrician come out and inspect the breaker. It took him 10 seconds to find the breaker that was installed by Solid State had exploded, damaging 2 other breakers in my panel. Now I am out $355 and on top of that I need a whole new breaker panel (~$5000) to be installed if I want to charge my car from home (as the slot that housed this breaker is now permanently damaged). Stay away from Solid State, my family could have died from a potential fire because we charged the car overnight."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Arizona City, AZ

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
