"The entire installation was amazing! All the various operations required to demolish concrete, remove it, condition the driveway soil with gravel and sand compacted and laying all the pavers was handled with great precision and timing between teams to complete all the steps involved. The team took extra steps and made good visual decisions for a finished look to the driveways. I had to pick up a few details where the new pavers meet the structure. My specific requests where followed after reviewing with Paramount Pavers, just pay attention as the work is done. The installation was completed in record time!! Thanks for the great follow through on my project."

"The crew did a great job. It took a week to finish due to some rain. The price was fair, as I compared it to several other contractors. They were not the lowest ones, but definitely not the highest ones. Roger was always available over the phone. The crew and leader, Juan, were very professional and courteous. I'd recommend them for sure."

"HIC Builders team were fantastic. We hired them for our front entry path and our driveway. Mike had great design ideas, and he worked with us every step of the way. Lisett was always on site, making sure everything was done exactly how we asked. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!"

"I HIGHLY recommend Erik G. & Karen A. from Home Renew 360 to do your complete roof tear-off & new roof install. We hired them from angieslist.com. They are a TOP NOTCH team from the beginning of our big project to the completion phase. Erik & Karen were both easily accessible throughout the entire roof project in person & by phone from start to finish. Because this was a big project for us, we had many questions along the entire project from start to finish. They answered all our questions promptly. I really liked that! The project took a few days, which is normal considering the scope of the project & the city permit had to be pulled, & inspected at different phases of the job. For me, pulling the city permit and the city inspector coming out to the job site to inspect the crew's work & to make sure that the workmanship was up to code assured me that everything was being done as it should be. All phases passed at the very 1st inspection without a glitch!! That speaks to their quality of work & to a well organized crew. Erik spotted a potentially harmful situation in the attic during the bid & estimate phase that ALL THE OTHER bidders missed!! (There were several companies that responded to our angieslist enquiry for estimates). He pointed this issue out to us. An independent company came in and ran their own tests and confirmed Erik's suspicion. GOOD EYE, ERIK!! This could have potentially turned out to be a bigger & even more expensive in the future had we not addressed the issue. I'm not sure which I'm more relieved about: the fact that this potentially harmful problem was caught now & that it's being taken care of before it gets bigger down the road OR the fact that we now have a BEAUTIFUL roof over our head before the rainy season starts. ( we kept putting the roof project off for yrs. to save up for it) Its a coin toss up at this point! WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN FOR OTHER HOME PROJECTS in the future if we need to! They exceeded the standards of professionalism, quality of workmanship & common courtesy!!!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Artesia, CA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
