"Elliot and his crew showed up as scheduled. They had some difficulties with the old slab being so porous, but worked through the day to get it right. The color came out great, but the gloss layer did not last. After discussing this with Elliot, he stated it was most likely due to the very old and porous slab. Elliot and his crew came back to the house, re sanded the floor and put a thin top layer on the slab. He stained and sealed the floor with a high gloss finish. He did all this at no cost to me and the final product came out great."

They were the lowest but were higher than what I was willing to spend. He came out the next day and we figured that we save some money and get it done next year with them. "<p>Job was done on the date promised, in the time span estimated and at the price quoted. The two man team properly braced the porch roof before tearing the old column out. They built the new column on site. The team removed all tear down debris as well as the trash from the construction phase (a really big plus in my book since I have had other contractors leave their trash for me to clean up.) The contractor asked for a deposit before they began and the balance after the work was completed. I marked them down on punctuality since they told me that they would be here at 9:00 but it was 90 minutes later before they arrived and another 30 minutes before they started work. As I said above, the work completion was promised for the end of the day and they met that. </p> <br />"

"Douglass construction repaired issues on the roof that had been there since the house was built and had over the years been the cause of other issues that made it necessary to replace parts of the roof and decking before reshingling could be completed. The job was done in a professional manner and work was done in a very timely manner. There were 2 delays that were out of the control of the construction company. I had picked a shingle that wasn't carried in stock so there was a wait for special order and then the last skid when opened were defective so had to be returned and took 3 days to have them reshipped to finish the job. I have used this company for several remodeling jobs from ceramic tile to major reconstruction inside my home and each job has been completed quickly, professionally and reasonably priced. <br />"
