"It went perfectly. Tom was wonderful and so professional. His crew was outstanding! They worked so hard and are also professional as well. The work was completed in about a week. Tom was out at our house almost every morning letting us know what was going to be done that day and giving his crew guidance for the day. Tom was a perfectionist, in fact he noticed that our fence was a bit off height wise so he had his team adjust it at no cost to us. Tom has also checked in since the work had been completed to make sure everything looks good and performing as designed. Overall I recommend Tom for any of your landscaping needs. He is honest, dedicated, and best of all passionate about his work. Thanks Tom again for making our home look so much better."

"I would hire them again. The patio was in a tricky area off the kitchen with a small yard area and no good way to get to it. Amigos tore out and hauled away the old patio with no residual problems. They were able to frame and pour the new patio in the limited workspace with ease. I would use them again and tell folks to use them. We actually looking at having our driveway done next year and we're looking at bringing in Amigos to do the work."

"They're still in the process of working with us. We started working with them about eight years ago, so we've been doing stuff with them for a long time. They did the original landscaping for us years ago and there's a couple of trees and things they put in for us. I think they do a good job. It's pretty easy communicating with them. They came up with the whole plan for the whole thing for us to begin with. They're pretty much always A's, that's why we keep using them."

"Tomas responded to my call right away to give me an estimate and, when hired, did the job within a few days (once the rain stopped). He and his crew were very efficient and did a great job. This is the third time I've used these landscapers. The first time was for an exterior remodel job - enlarging a front entry area with a stone floor and wall and redoing all the landscaping in the front of my home. They did a great job and completed the work in an amazingly short time."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Ashton, IL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
