We thought he charged too little for the amount of work that he did and we paid him more than he asked for. Trying to get him to come to Florida and do some work in our home down here. "I am very pleased with the work that was done and I love the way the cabin turned out. I was impressed with Rommel and how he was aimed to please. He was prompt with meeting me and getting me a quote, and a fair price. There were times when the items I purchased were not quite the right fit, but Rommel was able to make it work and look nice. Just one example is the light over the front door hung down past the door and Rommel was able to modify the pole so that it fit. With a remodel, things will come up and we had extra projects too, but they were able to meet our needs and do an excellent job. I would recommend A-1 Plus Remodeling."

Although my husband and I were here and watched them try really hard to located the bangning pipe, the pipes still seem to bang a lot. (My husband later did some further padding of pipes outside the wall near the hot water heater and that seemed to help a little) The drywall repair was fine,  but the paint job , left to a helper, had to be redone.

The attempt to fix the gap in the double doors by thick weatherstripping and lifting one door only made it impossible to open and close the door .  In order to open the door, my husband had to rip off most of the foam weatherstripping and to lock it again, he has to use something to lift the one door enough to get the  lock to line up with the latch .  We now believe that the cause is settling of the house and we will need new doors and new framing.  It would have been better if we had just been told "this is not fixable" instead of the attempt that cost us over $200 and made things worse

"We got several bids and these guys were the lowest. We didn't have a lot to spend and we needed to save as much as possible. Afer I already told them to order the metal I began to worry about hiring them. I started thinking maybe I shouldn't go with the cheapest price here because the work would be sub standard. I was wrong they did a great job and the price was better than anyone else. I would definitely recommend them. We had a small issue with something I didn't understand they worked with me and made me happy. They didn't make me feel stupid for not understanding everything and I couldn't be happier with how my house looks."
