"Anthony and Ryan came and assessed my roof damage within a half hour of calling them. They tarped the roof and the new roof was installed fast. Anthony helped with the insurance claim and kept in contact until the job was completed. Very professional and helpful during the process. My new roof looks great. Many thanks!!"

"Steve Parker came out and inspected the roof and made us aware of the damage.  We contacted our insurance company and made a claim.  The adjuster scheduled a time to inspect the roof and Steve met him and worked through everything for us.  the adjuster agreed that it needed replaced.  Steve had his crew come over and replace the roof in less than a week everything was done.  The crew worked very seamlessly together.  They were very friendly and professional.  I will use them again and highly recommend Duramax Roofing to anyone that needs not only a roof as they do just about anything that would need done to a structure. <br />"

"If this is the incorrect company, please disregard this review. About a year ago, I was looking to have a roof repaired on a house I had purchased in the Indianapolis, IN area; I was still living out of state and was collecting quotes. I remember the names of the employees being Adam, Beverly, and Mark. This complaint is for Mark: If you are so stupid that you gamble $150 on leads over Angi.com, then you have no right to get angry when those leads fall through for whatever reason. You are not entitled to a cent of that money back. The only reason why I contacted Angi.com to get your money back is that I felt bad for you, having been in customer acquisition before, so I asked Adam what I could do to help, and he told me I could reach out to Angi.com and explain what happened so you get a refund, DESPITE him telling me several times not to worry about it. Then, you acted rude to my realty agent. I then reported your unprofessional behavior and terrible customer service conduct to Beverly, who said she would "take care of it" and apologized for your behavior. You then acted rude to my realty agent for the second time. So, Mark, consider this review your punishment. Since I do not see any mention of a Mark anywhere on Moss Roofing, I hope that means that Beverly fired your utterly stupid a***. Mark, you are rude and infantile and do not deserve to have employment with your clear lack of customer service skills as well as your incredibly stupid money-spending habits. To Beverly and Adam: Thank you for listening to my complaint I made over the phone a year ago - it appears you actually care about your customers."

"Tammy and her crew do fantastic work. They have been our go to roofing company for over 10 years. When our 22 year old roof finally gave up the ghost, we booked them to replace it. They worked with the materials delivery schedule, which was a Friday morning delivery. The crew showed up the very next day just before 7AM. It turned out to be an extremely hot and humid day, but the guys just chugged away, only stopping for lunch around 1PM. Roof and cleanup was completely done by 6PM. They were very careful during the tear off process to avoid any damage to our backyard garden that is right up against our house, and kept all the debris out of our in ground pool. The architectural style shingles and USA’s awesome work have given us a beautiful new roof. We highly recommend them, and Tammy and her crew will continue to be our roofing contractor for the future."

"The roof replacement went very well. They kept in decent contact with us while we waited for good weather. The replacement spilled into a second day, which was fine - there were some unanticipated issues. The new roof looks great. The roof replacement cost around $8800 for a 2300 sq. ft., 2-story house. We went with the premium shingles. For the gutters, we were less pleased. It was difficult to get anyone to contact us about the gutters which are subcontracted out. The installers contacted me about an hour before they were set to arrive to do the installation. I had to scramble to let my boss know I would need to work from home. I was supposed to be notified a day before installation. At first, I thought the installers were there to take the measurements and do preliminary work, but it turns out that part was already done by someone else prior - without talking to us at all. This other person couldn't get into our backyard to see everything that needed done. Because of the lack of communication and the lack of access, he didn't order enough materials. He ended up having to bring the installers a couple items because of that. The installers were great though. They listened to what we needed done and they made it happen. The gutters look good and they work as expected. The gutters cost around $1200 for about 100ft of seamless gutters and nearly 100ft of downspouts. Overall, I would be comfortable recommending Bone Dry for roofing, but I wish we had gone with someone else for the gutters."

"Jason and his team did an outstanding job from start to finish on replacing my roof. Jason worked with me and my insurance company throughout the process and aided in the roof inspection process. He reviewed the roofing process with me in detail and discussed roofing material options. The workers were punctual and cleaned up daily until the job was done and were meticulous in their workmanship. When the job was completed, I couldn't tell they had been there other than a new roof! I would highly recommend Sheward Contracting for your roofing needs."

"This is the third project we have done with Universal. They previously replaced a skylight and did some work on our front porch and those jobs went so well it was only natural that we would go with them for our major roof work. Rob worked with our insurance company and was very transparent through the entire process. When it was time for our project to start, we were given a start date ahead of time and a crew began work when they said they would. The work done was beautiful, and we could not be happier. Everyone on site communicated effectively and often with us, were respectful of my house, and cleaned up well when the project was over. I would highly recommend Universal. Now that I have a long term, water tight roof, I know I won’t need them up there again but I will certainly call them first for any future projects!"

"We had 3 estimates for our hail damage last spring. We chose Element because of the thoroughness of their reports and previous reviews that stated how well they worked with insurance companies, especially ones with a reputation stinginess. These reviews were not exaggerated; we only had to pay our deductible for a huge amount of repairs. We were well prepared for the repairs by the instructions they gave us. The work proceeded according to schedule; the cleanup was very thorough. Their crews were nice, polite and clean. There was no smoking on our property. The owner, Jeremy Rytych was very easy to reach and very responsive to our concerns. We recommend them to anyone needing roofing and/or gutter repairs or replacement."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Atlanta, IN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
