"Andres and his workers were amazing—so much so I referred him to other neighbors who then used him! Friendly, efficient, timely and listened to our wants and needs. He extended our California patio, installed a putting green, poured concrete sidewalk and widened my driveway. He also planted trees, bushes and vines. He also installed our purchased waterfall. We love our little oasis!! "

"I highly recommend Jesse of Rough Terrain Services. He is a very personable and responsible individual who possesses high integrity and skills. He was very responsive to my needs. He did an outstanding job in the Weedeating, brushing and tree work. He mad a number of burn piles which he then burned and monitored. Jesse was very reliable, arriving on time and providing professional service. I have highly recommended him to friends and neighbors in the North Fork and Oakhurst areas. I look forward to his working on our property in the future."

"The owner Steve and his son Scott are great. Very prompt, professional and kind. Steve made sure that we understood the process and exactly what he would be doing. He scheduled a time that would be convenient for us taking our work schedule into consideration since we work nights. When the crew came to do the installation they were very respectful and cleaned up after.  They got the job done quickly and did a wonderful job. It looks great and we are very happy that we went with SC Construction for our patio cover. <br />"

"Peter was very fast and always prompt. After measuring on a Sunday, he had the custom door made on Monday. I absolutely love my door. It was custom made and it’s pretty large door! The price was reasonable!"

"GC Fencing did a very good job under often wet, muddy conditions. There were a few things that i asked them to change during the install and they were able to get these changes added to the fence without hesitation. Near the end, i walked the fence line with "Gustavo" and, as the result, he made some adjustments to the new fence. GC Fencing was very cooperative and I have a beautiful new fence around my property!!!"

"It was a long process.  We started around May with all the removal of the old lawn and then the concrete.  The synthetic turf took a while to install because the distributer didn't have what we wanted, and when it was put in the first time, there was a seam (which Evergreen wanted to change- not us!). So, to have it replaced again took more time.  Once the turf was in, the rest of the yard came together very quickly. The yard was officially finished on 10/6/15.  <br /> Bob takes his time, but it is because he is a perfectionist.  And, really he worked with us and our budget because the synthetic turf is significantly more expensive than regular turn. We went in phases due to the budget issues, so that also slowed it down.  However, it was 100% worth the time and money.  We love the yard.  People think the turf is real.  I often find neighbors, visitors, etc, walking around barefoot on the turf to try it out.  My son and dogs LOVE it.  It turned out exactly how I wanted, within the budget we expected, and I can't wait until spring to really finish my planting. <br /> Bob has also started on our backyard, and we hopefully will finish that next spring (waiting on some rain since we will use real grass). <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Atwater, CA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
