"Streamline call center agent was very polite and helpful. I provided a credit card over the phone. She gave a price range between $150 and $280.00 and I agreed knowing that the higher price would be the final bill. The electrician came out but mentioned it would take approximately 3-4 hours. I was unable to hang out that long, so I needed to reschedule. Thankfully,I was not charged for the visit. Upon the second visit, the electrician kept asking my tenant about how he was getting paid and that the final price would be $550. The call center agent compromised with me and I only had to pay $20 more than the highest quoted price. This was only for a outlet, not installing the disposal!"

"The Mr Electric Technician could have taken advantage of me, by not showing me that I had missed the final step of fixing the problem myself. He could have charged me around $400 to install a new lighting system & wall-switch. Instead he just showed me how to finish up, said goodbye, and refused payment for coming out. That is TOP-NOTCH-SERVICE !"

Small jobs welcome

"Andrew came to our house between Ann Arbor and Plymouth at 8 PM on Tuesday when a storm caused an electrical outage. We had a generator but we're only getting partial power in the house. Andrew ran tests inside the house, determining that not enough power was coming into the house. He then started testing different areas of the generator until he found the part not working. Once he located the problem, he quickly fixed it. Because he didn't give up on me or my problem, he restored electricity, saving me hundreds from food spoilage in a refrigerator and freezer. I don't think most electricians would have stuck with the problem or been able or willing to fix the generator. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would."

"I needed some recessed lighting installed in my living room and I was referred to DB Electrical by a friend. It was such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Not only was the young man professional, he was very knowledgeable and polite. He arrived on time and completed the job in a few hours. I was also impressed with how well he cleaned up after himself when he was finished.I have some other electrical work that I need done and will definitely use him again. I highly recommend this business if you are looking for a nice, dependable company to do work at your home or business."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Auburn Hills, MI

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
