"11/04/18 I am changing this review. One of the things they did was cut off the bottom of the sliding door so it would slide easier. The work was done in August. I didn't notice until fall / winter, there was no weather striping and the wind was blowing in, actually snow was blowing in. I had to have a new sliding door installed which I did 2/22/18. I never did hear back from them about the balances for the double-hung windows. Very prompt service. I contacted them Tuesday, August 22, 2017, the sliding door was repaired the following Monday. Alex explained the repair (it needed a new track) and why it was needed. The double hung window needs new balances, Alex is checking into the part. I was very happy with their work and will recommend them to anyone who needs a sliding door repaired. I had contacted 3 other companies. One said it couldn't be fixed, buy a new door; one didn't respond; and one was to busy to handle the repair now. I am thankful Sliding Door Repair Service was able to help me. They did such an excellent job!"

"This is a long-overdue review. We hired Michal Gandy and his team to work on our windows three years ago. We had done a lot of research about replacing windows vs. refurbishing the old wooden frames we had which were showing softwood in many places and leaking air. We opted for the restoration work. We could not have been happier. The crew came on time and was very respectful of the space. They changed some glass double panes that had condensation between the panes, they scraped all the softwood and replaced with new sills, painted all the frames, and when necessary replaced springs to ensure the good functioning of the windows. With the added storm windows, we achieved better insulation for both weather and sound and we kept our wood-framed windows. Michal stayed responsive and came back this spring to seal a couple of the storm windows bottom edge which had gotten loose with time. I will hire them again without hesitation."
