"Mike was very professional from the first phone call. He came that evening when he said he would to give us a estimate.
We originally called for a estimate on staining our fence front and back and after talking with Mike we also asked him to pressure wash the house. He came when he said he would and did everything we asked, he even went the extra mile and stained our yard swing the same color as the fence.
We were so happy with the job he did on the fence we then asked him to stain our deck, we had tried to stain it on our own last year and had really made a mess. He had to work really hard to get the stain off but he did a great job and our deck looks so good.
It was a pleasure to work with Mike and we are very pleased with the work he did and will definitely use him again. He is prompt and does a high quality job. Our fence and deck look great and we have received compliments from friends and neighbors, we highly recommend him.

"The tile work was using travertine natural stone with a lot of high end detail. The price shown was labor only I provided all of the materials as I wanted a higher quality of stone than could be purchased in the Outer Banks. Michael did an outstanding job. In fact my husband commented that he had never seen such perfect grouting on a listello before. He removed all of the old stuff and no damage to the house although there was a lot of tile dusts use to it being natural stone. My only issue was that the job took longer than either he or I anticipated. I wish I had given him a absolute need by finish date before starting. "The owner was prompt in responding to my special deal purchase and it was quick and easy to schedule our appointment. He showed up promptly, was was professional, thorough, and friendly. The gutters that met the coupon’s criteria were cleared. We are hiring again to clean the gutters that were higher (3-story) and more running feet than specified, and also to do wood rot repair around our home’s exterior that he noticed. The coupon was a good value for the work performed, and the quote on the additional work to be performed also is fair. "John and his crew painted the exterior of our 3 story rental house in Avon. We selected the paint, as agreed, and they did the job. Beautifully done and as fast as this Hatteras Island weather in January allowed. Everything cleaned up, the porches and stairs power-washed. What a difference! John should be proud of the beautiful job he does. If you wish and can, drive down to 39262 Wahoo Circle in Avon to take a look at our like-new house. "We initially called Mr Hargrove in August for an estimate on painting of the exterior trim, gutters, and around windows and doors, etc. on our two story brick house.  We were very impressed with his punctual call return and his punctual arrival for an estimate.  We needed the house pressure washed and scraped all around as the house had been neglected by the previous owners and needed serious work.  We liked his plan and his estimate and we decided on the spot to hire him and his company as there were many other things that were also going to be needed and we thought "this was our guy for anything that we need"  His crew showed up on the date and time specified and went to work immediately washing and scraping the exterior of the house.  They also had to remove all the storm windows for proper scraping and painting.  It was pretty hot, but his guys showed up every day and did a fantastic job.  We were and still are VERY impressed with the job they did and would hire them again in a minute!  During one particular nasty rain storm we noticed a serious leak in a couple of rooms and told James about it and he went right up on the roof and found where it had leaked and within the next few days, he had put on a new roof on that part of the house and it has not leaked since!  And the new shutters they installed look great!!  We have also had two of our neighbors stop by commenting on how good our house looks and wanted to know who did it and we happily gave them his number!  We are new to this area and we feel very fortunate to have found James Hargrove and his home improvement company and definitely plan on using them again!!
