"I have been using Dan Collins for over a year.  Last year, I bought a 16-year-old house that still had builder's grade white paint throughout the interior.  I arranged for a painter, who changed his mind on the day he was supposed to start. I received Dan's contact information, called him that same morning, and he was out to look at the house that afternoon. It was a large job - 2400+ square feet, with every wall, ceiilng, and piece of trim, crown molding, chair rails, etc. needing to be painted.  He knew I was under a time crunch to get the work done and even though he had other jobs on his calendar, he still managed to put together a crew of 14 guys to come in over the weekend, set up scaffolding where needed, get a huge jump-start on the project.  He made sure there were at least 3 guys at my house every weekday, and then arranged for another large group to come in the following weekend.  The quality of the workmanship was nothing short of excellent.  His guys were polite, respectful, hardworking, diligent, and every single day they cleaned up their entire work area.  About 5 months later, I had his guys come back to paint our staircase, banisters, and the second floor railing which overlooks the first floor family room.  Again, another excellent job.  Most recently (2 weeks ago) I had his guys back again to paint the exterior trim around all our windows, our garage door, front door, two rear doors (one requiring repair due to wood rot), and once again, excellent work.  In the fall, we will bring Dan back in to paint our finished basement.  I wouldn't use anyone else!"

"I hired Matt after obtaining five estimates for painting most of the inside of my house, including walls, ceilings, trim and a variety of drywall repairs. His proposal was slightly higher than the average estimate, but I was swayed by his great reviews on the Web. Now I understand why. He and his team are the height of professionals. Not only are they meticulous in their work, and extremely clean. They go above and beyond, and I can't recommend him enough. Here are some examples. At the end of the day, before they were finished with a room, they offered to remove the dropcloths and plastic, and put all of the furniture back in place, including the blinds and drapes, temporarily, so that I could use the room until the next morning. They did this for both my bedroom (so that I could sleep in my own bed) and my family room (so that I could watch TV.) After they finished the first coat of paint in the family room, I realized that the color was very different from what I had expected. I contacted Matt and asked him what he would charge me to paint over the first coat with a different color that I picked out. He agreed and never charged me. I had an even bigger problem with my sun room. I had picked out a color from Clark and Kensington that was a pale yellow. We had agreed to use Sherwin Williams paint. They claim that they can mix any color from other companies based upon their computer formulas. The room was originally painted a light green, but after they finished with a primer and two coats of the SW paint, I realized, and so did they, that the color had a slight greenish cast and didn't match the C&K sample. I thought that the old paint might be bleeding through, but they assured me that it wasn't. I was upset, but Matt offered a possible solution. He had his men pick up the original C&K paint instead of the SW paint and re-painted the room. That did it! (Let this be a cautionary tale of matching colors from different companies.) Not only that, but while one man was finishing the walls, I saw that two others were cleaning my windows where they had left a few smudges and fingerprints. Bottom line: It was a pleasure dealing with Matt and his team. He's a true professional and I can't recommend him enough."
