"Davidâ s expertise and professionalism resulted in a wonderful renewed large 2-level outside deck. He pressure washed and repaired the deck and stairs as well as advise me in the choices and quality of the stain that he applied. I have another project scheduled with him later this Fall and one yet to be scheduled next Summer. "I was in a pinch to hire a qualified painter as I was moving. Rual was responsive to my request, on time to the job site, and workmanship clearly demonstrated he is a quality painter. In addition his pricing was fair and the only expense was the paint and primer I purchase. I will hire Rual for my next project,"

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Bainbridge Island, WA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
