"This was a rush job because my existing insurance carrier declined to renew my hazard insurance policy--they claimed to be trimming their portfolio in Florida.  I found out at the 11th hour from my Insurance agent that my roof had reached an age (20 yrs) that made getting a new policy impossible.  If I wanted insurance I had to re-roof my house.  I had only 30 days to have everything completed and inspected in time to get a new policy before my existing insurance would lapse.
After checking Angie's List I narrowed my choices down to three companies.  I called Specialty Roofers and within an hour I received a call back from Brian Vickery.  Brian agreed to complete the inspection the at the earliest time I had available and had an estimate to me the same day he inspected the roof.   Brian showed up on time and did everything he said he would.  He spent a lot of time explaining my options, answering my questions, and taking care of logistics.  He also agreed to provide a windstorm mitigation inspection when the roof was completed.  
Specialty Roofer's price was higher than the other estimate I received by $1000, but Brian's customer service and dependability were  so exceptional, I felt I could count on him to get this job done on time and done well.  So I awarded the job to Specialty Roofers.  
Brian immediately got my job on the schedule for the Wednesday following the Thursday he completed the estimate.  Cathy, who took care of all the billing and accounting, was very efficient and helpful and after an upfront payment of half the estimated cost,  Brian arranged for the dumpster to be delivered and the roofing materials, communicating with me on everything.  And, when the crew finished up another job early he rescheduled my re-roof for a day earlier than originally scheduled. The crew arrived on time and were very well-mannered and courteous.  They worked fast, finishing the job in 2 days.  They cleaned up thoroughly, magnetically sweeping the whole area to be sure nothing remained behind, and Brian arranged for the dumpster to be removed in a timely manner.  
Brian was true to his word on everything--there were no surprises because he managed the project so well.  I would definitely  recommend Specialty Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof or any type of roof repair.  They are honest and professional and they definitely exceeded my expectations.

"Up through signing on, it went great - very responsive - answered all questions. While the actual quality of work appears good (except for damage to gutters, sprinklers etc - expected some) the ability to extract information was tough. Once the work crew arrived, my poor Spanish and their poor English didn't always get the point across. Had concerns and tried to determine the quality of the roof plywood (told all was good) but two sheets were replaced and no one knows where."

"Roofing was average quality. There were leaks after the roofing job and they came and repaired roofing. They were a subcontractor for an addition and I had to pay them separate. I got quotes for other roofers for $2700 to $3000 for labor and materials. Chris Warren charged me $4000 for labor only. I bought materials. And only found out his prices after job was done as contractor did not tell me who sub was until after work ws done."

"Aged and leaking roof was replaced. Some upgrades were added. New roof has endured record (area still under disaster declaration from resultant flooding as of this writing) downpours without a problem.
