Feeling comfortable, we contracted with Rick to do the driveway. Within a week, Rick and his crew were at our house removing the old driveway, removing stone that would affect the new driveway, adding base gravel, rolling it multiple times, and preparing the landscape around the new driveway so that water run off would not damage the new driveway. By the next week (even with a few days delay due to rain), our brand new driveway was laid, and we could not be more than happy with how it looks. During the process, Rick was more than responsive to our questions. Even after the work was completed, Rick called to make sure we were happy with the outcome. "James and his crew installed a beautiful professional grade new driveway at our 3-family condo. It makes our house stand out and allows for landscaping improvements throughout the yard. The edging and seal of the asphalt against the house foundation looks especially well-done. The driveway between our house and the neighbors is narrow and very difficult to work within but James and his crew handled it with ease. Paperwork was scarce with Public Hot Top. We initially went with them because the estimate of 1k lower than others. After some discussion they verbally committed to working within our budget which was several hundred dollars below the estimate. On paving day they pushed hard for 1k payment over initial estimate due to added material expense. Feel that they lowballed the estimate to win business - advise getting price guarantees in advance."
