After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. "We had so many bad experiences with contractors that we were very nervous about this big project. We were repairing the entire house and the separate garage. The garage was in very bad repair, leaning so badly that the door would no longer open. The house is old and was added onto bit by bit so had some strange features. In short, it was not a straightforward job. We had several contractors look at it and none were enthused about doing it. Their suggestions for the difficult bits didn't seem very encouraging. Don came and looked it over and had what seemed like excellent ideas for how to approach the problems. He said that when his crew starts a job they don't leave until it's done, which is exactly how the two week job was completed. We were dreading having a construction crew around banging on the house but the guys were very, very nice, hard-working and punctual. The foreman, Drew, was a real problem solver and several times saved us from our own bad ideas. Don kept a watchful eye on everything and quickly we realized that we need not be afraid. "I was very happy with the result.  Craig keep appointments on time, kept me informed when there was a change in plans (the weather was not always cooperative for outdoor work) and gave me a detailed, reasonable estimate.  The work was done in a reasonable time with one postponement due to weather.  The result is excellent, mowing is much easier and the place looks much better.  One of my neighbors called o tell me how great it looked.  There only a couple of very small things I might have changed so I would recommend being there when the work is done (at the time I had very heavy travel schedule) but nothing major.  I will certainly use them again next time I need landscaping work. <br />"

"Overall I was not happy. I spend 50 dollars for a certified arborist to come out to my home take a 20 minute look at my tree, tell me I have a problem and then says he will have to send my contact information to someone else for evaluation. When you hire a certified arborist there should be a service level here that at the very least will work with you and whom ever he sent my information to in order to resolve my initial problem. Without getting the other company mentioned into this review I have since began taking corrective action on my own through a local co operative extension. <br /> <br /> Update: Jack contacted me again and explained that he had learned that I was not happy with the service I had received. We talked at length about the visit and we agreed that in the future communication could improve on both sides. I typically do not try and contact a contractor again when I feel that the service performed was not up to my standards. In my previous experiences I find that this is just a typical waste of time. Jack is interested in making his services more clearly stated in the future and acknowledged the issues I had. We also talked about the entire process and the others involved that were not directly related to this service visit and how they could be improved. For that I had to update this post and say good job on fixing your mistakes. For the record he also offered to fix the issues I felt were flawed and the amount charged for his visit. I feel that it takes time and money to run a business and knowing ahead of time that I was going to be charged is a given. The service I asked for was what I got. General rule of thumb when hiring people for work. Have everything spelled out and clearly understand what is being done and for how much."
