"Jamie and his crew did a fantastic job Tuckpointing my home and even painted the eaves. They are reliable and dependable. I happy that I selected them to do my house. I never thought my house would look so good. I highly recommend them for your Tuckpointing, and they did change my floodlights and painted my eaves. My brick chimney was falling apart. That was very high and they fix it. It looks wonderful."

Customers say: Quick response

"After getting several quotes for the work I needed done, which was very complexed to me, Franklin Tuckpointing contacted me. They came out promptly, did an assessment and assured me that they could make the repairs. Their price was reasonable and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. They were also professional, as well as patient with me. I’m very grateful for their consideration and satisfied with their work."

"Ben, and his brother did an awesome job at a great price on repairing my porch. Even got it done early! Sadly, a delivery driver got part of our steps taking off a corner of the setting concrete. Ben got back with me right away to help set up a time to come patch it up. I'd definitely recommend them for brick/concrete work. "

"Do not hire these people. Communication sucks. They only speak Spanish. Adrian, gets the job, (he speaks enough English to do that part). Then you never see him again. The men show up, and the language barrier is insurmountable. You cannot communicate what you want them to do, and they can't tell you what/if Adrian told them to do. They used a black color dye in the mortar and put it on white stone, which looked terrible. Because they were using this black dye it was on their hands and everything they touched-all the white stone on my porch, has black fingerprints now. Very messy, amateur work all over. They dumped the wheelbarrow w/ leftover mortar in my front lawn. I am just sick about hiring them. This project cost $2300. They hurriedly did it in 3 hours."

"Charles was quick to schedule and complete the work we needed done on our chimney. He was straightforward during the bidding process. The work was completed in one day. Upon initial view, the tuckpointing lines are straight. When I noticed the morter lines were thicker, I discovered several bricks were sloppily damaged and unnecessarily cut into. I'm not sure what long term implications of this are but I'm uncomfortable with the whole situation. Will be happy to provide pictures if there is a spot to do so."

FAQs for brick or stone tuck pointing projects in Ballwin, MO

Masons charge between $70 and $110 per hour. A mason may have a minimum service fee ranging from $80 to $300. Most bricklayers offer free estimates and charge only if you proceed with the project. This clear pricing model assures that professionals inspect your property before beginning work and charge based on your project’s actual requirements.

A professional repointing lasts 20 to 30 years without maintenance and extends up to 50 years when maintained diligently. This process protects your brickwork using high-quality materials that ensure lasting performance and durability. Consistent upkeep preserves its strength and appearance, providing enduring protection and enhancing your home’s overall structural integrity for decades.

You know your house needs repointing when you notice clear signs such as cracked, flaking, or missing mortar and visible discoloration on the brick surfaces. Additional indicators include loose bricks, water damage, and gaps between the brick joints that compromise the overall integrity of the structure. Addressing these issues promptly protects your investment and sustains the durability and curb appeal of your home.

A house needs repointing to preserve both its structural integrity and visual appeal. Mortar acts as a vital bonding agent that holds the bricks securely together. When the mortar deteriorates, it exposes the structure to water infiltration and further decay, increasing the risk of costly repairs. Repointing stops decay and reinforces the exterior, ensuring long-term protection.
