"10/17/2020 Glenn and Juliana We hired Leon Pro Services to install a large Deck (16â x 20â ) and Patio (16â x 16â ) onto the back of our home. We requested Trek Decking along with a white railing and black balusters. We also wanted deck lighting on the deckâ s post and at the stepâ s walls. The Patio was installed with Nicolock Pavers along with a 4 foot walkway to the deck and a ten foot wall at the patioâ s side and located off of the patio. Also, we wanted a 4 inch Charcoal Ridge Brick Border going around the patio. The border gave the patio a great look! The workers for Leon Pro Services were very knowledgeable and highly skilled in their line of work. We were very impressed with all of them! They stayed focused on the details and on all aspects of their work! We thought we had our plans on the deck and patio ready to go and finalized but, after the deck was finished, we realized our patio was 2 feet short away from the house and we needed to add a 4 foot walkway to meet the steps coming down from the deck. When we realized our mistake, we called Leo who was in charge of our project, spoke with him about our concerns of needing two more feet on the patio, so it would meet the stairs coming down from our deck. We came to an agreement, and the two feet was added with a small 4 foot walkway to the steps coming down from the deck. Thanks to Leo helping us with our concerns it looks great after it was finished! We have had many neighbors come by to see and also compliment us on our new great looking deck and patio. We are very appreciative of Leon Pro Services and the workers for their great work! Our suggestions to others wanting a deck and patio installed is to make sure you have your plans size down, and be very specific in the types of products that you want installed. Constructing lumber come in different grades, example lumber grades #1 or #2 and also brands names may be different in quality. Patio blocks comes in many different sizes and grades. Brand names can make a big difference also but, quality can be found in some non-branded products. Look around and write down the names of the products. So, if you want a brand name be specific with the type of brand!"

FAQs for metal awning or patio cover installation and replacement projects in Baltimore, MD

Yes, you can paint your metal awning using oil-based paints to give it a fresh new look and protect it from corrosion. Oil-based paints are durable and help preserve the awning's structural integrity. Keep in mind that painting an aluminum awning costs $2.50 to $3.50 per square foot. Be sure to hire a painter who specializes in awning painting to get the best results.

Metal awnings are incredibly durable and offer excellent protection against the elements for your home. They resist sun, rain, and snow, keeping your space safe and comfortable. Stainless steel and copper awnings provide outstanding longevity and structural integrity, while aluminum awnings are more affordable without sacrificing performance. Plus, their sturdy construction can improve energy efficiency and boost your home's curb appeal.

While metal awnings are durable, they can be more expensive than other types, so they might not be ideal if you're on a tight budget. They also offer fewer customization options compared to fabric awnings, so you might have limited choices in style or color. Additionally, metal awnings are fixed in place and harder to adjust, so you won't be able to raise or lower them easily based on the weather.

Yes, metal awnings can increase your home's value by enhancing its curb appeal and providing more usable outdoor space. Their sturdy design not only improves the look of your home but can also contribute to energy savings. If you opt for motorized awnings, they add a touch of sophistication that can be especially appealing to potential buyers when you're ready to sell.

Metal awnings can last 20 to 30 years with proper maintenance. To keep them in good shape, regularly clean them with a vinegar and water solution a few times each season to prevent buildup and corrosion. If your awning has electronic components, be sure to service them routinely. Taking care of any damage promptly will help your awning perform its best and extend its lifespan.
