"A disaster. Since we do not currently live at the property, we were at Shawn's mercy on his honesty and integrity. BIG mistake. He consistently had reasons on why he didn't go to the job: truck broke down, attacked by bees, truck broke again, credit card fraud (think I heard that one several times) and a whole other list of excuses. After missing several deadlines, he sent me photos of the completed deck. I believed him and sent him the final payment. Unfortunately, the photos were misleading. The deck was NOT complete. Worse yet, it's a disaster. He put the insulation ON TOP on top of the joists so when you walk on it and you feel like you are in a bouncy house. He didn't cut the plywood to specifications; didn't do the joists to specifications. He left all this trash everywhere. He promised me he would come out and fix the platform by September 1 (I have text messages to prove) ...and nothing. He's a fraud. I feel really stupid for being taken advantage of and told my husband since this was "my" project, I would handle. I was lied to and scammed by Shawn, the owner of this company. So, if he is showing you photos of a round deck, please know these are NOT accurate. The work was horrible and needs to be completey redone....and on top of that, I get the joy of cleaning the mess he left behind and having all the money I had saved for this project gone...."
