"Rick McLain, owner of Black Bear Tree Experts, is extremely professional and does top-notch work.  He came with two co-workers, and it was like watching a choreographed maneuver.  They didn't waste a minute, they were extremely safe in everything that they did. They each knew exactly what to do and when to do it to make the work run smoothly.  The tree by the house was particularly difficult since it was very large and right up against the house.  But Rick was able to take down each section of the tree without a branch or any part of the trunk ever hitting the roof.  He had a large bucket truck that reached as high as any I've seen, so he was able to take off limbs in chunks from very high up.  The crew chipped all the branches with leaves and left the large stuff for us as we had asked, so we could use it for firewood.  When I called Rick initially to see if he could do the job, even though it was in the middle of an extremely busy season for him, he came out the next day to give us an estimate, and said he could get to the work in 3-4 weeks. He then came to do the job three weeks later, calling the day before to make sure the day would work for us. We couldn't have asked for anything to have been done in a more expert or professional manner!  And on top of all of this, he also has an answering service!  That is rare among tree experts in our ares and unbelievably helpful.  I could call anytime and know that my message would get through to Rick, and that he would call me back.  If we have another tree that we need cut, I will definitely call Black Bear Experts again!  Rick gets an A++ rating from us! <br />"

They then cut out the roof and installed 2 new Velux Roof Windows (with installation kits, screens etc.), and shingled my vacation home using water/ice barriers, soffit vents and roof vents.  I specified IKO  architectural roof shingles.
