"We inquired into the cost of a metal roof and Ty was knowledgeable and steered us to a better shingle with a similar warranty without the issues incumbent with the layover style metal roof or the cheaper ones with the rubber grommets in holding up to Wyoming's wind and rain.   As I wanted to ensure warranty information, I contacted the shingle producer and then conferred with Ty to make sure we had the appropriate shingle labor and materials warranties and the right shingle for the job.  Although he contracted with the sellers, he was helpful, friendly, courteous, and responsive.   His work was completed on time and for the amount he bid for.  I would recommend Ty and Pinnacle to anyone looking for a solid roofer.  His bids may come in slightly above some competitors, but you truly get what you pay for when it comes to a roof. <br />"

"Ron inspected our roof quickly. The damage was minimal but he made some immediate repairs to ensure we didn't have any leaks or further damage. He worked closely with the manufacturer and the insurance companies throughout the process. It took a while because it was fire damage and the manufacturer had to determine how much to replace to protect our warranty. Once they made a determination, Ron replaced the front of our roof quickly and professionally. I have hired him for many other rental properties I manage and his company is always fast, professional, and well priced."

"After being on their work list for about 10 weeks, we finally got an appointment date. Workmen showed up 2 hours late, but they had an emergency repair in Laurel and I was notified by phone. Work completed in 1 day. We are happy with the work so far, it hasn't rained since gutters were installed so can't report on that right now. <br />"

"Ernie Haas provided a very thorough examination of our roof which enabled us (after much back and forth with our roofer (DCF Contracting)) to ensure that all necessary and required repairs were made to our roof. Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

"<p>Our point of contact was Gary Courtright who did an excellent job in communicating, estimating, and coordinating the repairs and roofing shingle replacement for our rather large and expansive home in Fruit Heights, Utah, where in some years, the canyon winds through our town can exceed 100 MPH.  After 25 satisfactory years on our old roof, we contracted Kimball to complete some extensive roofing plywood repairs, re-flashing, re-membraning, and re-edging of the entire 6,000 SF roof.  Per Gary's expert advice, plus Louie and Rohojolo outstanding installation, we ended up with a very attractive and fully sealed roof that will probably last twice as long as our previous roof.  We now have a Tamko 50 year architectural shingled and ridged roof that can now withstand winds up to 150 MPH.  SUPER. JOB WELL DONE !</p>"

"<p>First of all Andy was really good at translating our needs into the services that we needed. He assured us that it would solve the flooding problem we had in the basement. He provided us with a written estimate of the work to be done before the work was to be done. The craftsmen who performed the workmen were very competent at all the work that needed to be done. As the jobs needed to be done over a week they were always prompt at arriving at the time they said they would be here to start or continue the job. The workers were friendly and always ready and willing to answer any questions we had. The completed work was very nicely done and the job site was left clean. </p> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Banner, WY

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
