"He was fantastic. Arrived right when he said he would for the first time. When he realized what was needed he didn’t have all the supplies so we scheduled for him to come back another time. Which again, he was punctual and professional. Now my mounted TV doesn’t have any cords running down the walls. I will certainly be reaching out to him for any other services needed"

"Michael Peters and his team were absolutely amazing! We had a tight time-frame and very specific expectations regarding the conversion of our screened in porch to a fully functioning room addition to our home. From the demo phase to the final day, Michael and the guys worked in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of the job - from the construction of the new walls, installation of the windows, moving a dryer vent duct, installing the flooring, painting - everything was done beautifully and professionally. When the job was finished, they cleaned up and hauled away all of the debris and left no sign that a new room had just been built when they left. On the day of completion, Michael and the guys (Damien, Danny & Josh) not only moved all of the furniture into the room, they hung pictures and even helped me unload my car of all of the supplies and decorations I had brought. Michael worked a Saturday installing wood trim and Danny returned on a Friday evening to replace two window panes that had been damaged in shipment to the vendor. Throughout all of our dealings with Michael, he was honest, open and could not have been a more pleasant and quality individual to work with. My husband and I cannot recommend Michael Peters and his company enough. If I could, I would attach photos of the before and after. We would not use anyone else and, in fact, Michael will be coming back to do some additional work on other parts of our home."

"Inquired with the owner to make a custom wood vent hood to go with a cabinet line that did not offer this product. Rusty, the owner built it to the exact specifications provided and was able to perfectly match the paint, this only took him a few days to provide a design and an excellent solution to my problem. The builders that I was designing kitchens for liked it so much that we ended up getting several more vent hoods made all with different sizes and paint colors. This was an excellent solution due to pre-fabricated cabinet lines over charging, and taking up to 12 weeks to have one delivered. I would highly recommend timber creek for any of your woodworking needs!"

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Batesville, MS

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
