"Greg ROCKS!!! This was an emergency! I needed services rendered immediately as guests were coming and all else fell through. Greg called a day before and assured me that he would be at the house by 7:30 the morning of. Not only did he arrive on time, he went over and beyond to help me make it through! "Alan is incredible. I've had a big complicated window treatment job I've been dreading - thinking it would have tons of issues, hard to get right, and thinking that it would cost a fortune. Alan came yesterday and did everything absolutely perfectly for SUCH a reasonable price. Hardware and curtains/shades are an art to hang and he totally nailed it all. In one room I had 3 windows for Alan to hang cafe curtains with some hardware I had purchased that didn't perfectly fit the window depth -- he made it all work perfectly. In another room I had him install outside-mount shades on five 90-inch windows, and then he hung a continuous curtain rod above the 5 windows around the 3 windowed walls with corner elbow bracket things and a piece that connects the rod to the 4th wall instead of finials. A lot can go wrong with that type of rod but he did it flawlessly --everything is just the right height, so straight, without a single mistake or unused hole in the wall. He's super easy to communicate with when scheduling and nice to have around. I'd hire again in a heartbeat -- he is just great!"

I am selling my 200+ year old house in Mendham Township, NJ and in order to meet the buyer's purchase conditions, it became necessary to repair/replace the roof and mitigate the occasional water seepage in the basement.  I had use Chapelwood previously on another job and knew the quality and speed of their work so I called them first for consultation and cost estimates.  They responded immediately and I quickly had their opinion on the scope and cost of the repair work which I found to be very reasonable and acceptable.

Chapelwood excavated a corner of the basement where water leaked in, installed a sump pump basin and sump pump electric unit, a drain in front of the boiler at the lowest spot on the floor and fed it into the sump pump basin and installed a pvc drain pipe from the sump pump through the foundation wall to the outside yard. Outside the house, they redirected two downspouts away from the house. All work was completed in less than 2 days and within just 1 week of signing the Contractor Agreement.  There was a heavy rain since then, but no seepage in the basement...I'm very happy with the results. 

I took their advice of fully replacing the 25+ year old roof rather than spot fixes here and there and that job was also done quickly and well.

All work was done quickly and professionally by very competent workers and I found dealing with them to be a pleasure.  This was all a "rush" job and Chapelwood was able to work me into their schedule in order to meet the closing date for the sale of the home.

"John Doering, the home inspector who operates DIR Home Inspections, was really good at walking around the property, asking questions and providing a pretty complete explanation of whatever I asked about as he toured my home for the inspection. He clearly separated things that were important to do from things that were less important, and that allowed me to schedule a few repairs and fix-ups/maintenance jobs in good weather. For one or two maintenance activities where I was considering a pretty costly replacement or repair, he suggested ways to tackle them that turned out to be much less expensive and complicated. His background in construction gives him great ability to distinguish situations that may have some structural significance from those that only require some cosmetic improvement. John was a pleasure to deal with -- his advice onsite plus his written report were excellent!"
