"This is a great company that I will definitely hire again! I had a list of random small and one large projects I wanted to get done around my home and Scott happily checked them off for me. Including taking down a large tree in my front yard, adding new bathroom window trim, installing recessed kitchen lighting, plumbing water to the refrigerator, and a complete over-haul to turn my standard garage into a fun extended living space. Garage included insulation and drywalling the attic area and the walls, and a new concrete floor. The only thing Scott didn't do was replace the garage doors. But he advised and talked with the installers I hired for that work. Scott was great at going through each project, asking and listening to what I wanted, and then describing what each project would entail and the plan to complete each one. Darkstar Construction is an incredible company and Scott is very easy going and a delight to work with! I highly recommend them to anyone needing literally anything done around their home or yard!"

He went above and beyond on my job making sure everything was painted including the foundation and gas meter! He also did some repairs to some trim and a small section of siding in the prep work that look great. I bought new handsets and locks for all the doors and he even installed them after painting the doors. What is even more special about his company being a local family owned business is when he needed help from a crew on the big days it was his brothers that joined the project. "Gene came to our home and looked over the work performed by a previous installer. He was not critical in his attitude but could easily understand that the stain was not what we ordered and the entire area had to be re-sanded and stain applied. He saw that we were really needing to get our house back in order since things were stacked all over and hard to get around. He said he could take care of us in about 3 days. He came, did a superb job in sanding and staining and we were back living in our home. The a week so so later my wife suggested we have the rest of the house installed with hardwoods. I agreed since we were so pleased with what Gene did we could easily image if our entire home had hardwoods except for the bedrooms. We hired Gene to come back and install the hardwoods after paying a couple of muscle movers to put all furniture and boxes in the garage. In two hours our home was ready for Gene to do his work. All went well except when the new installation came up against the previous installation. One could tell the two apart instead of seeing one continuous color of stain. Gene said it was because wood has different porous ability and grain. He set about the task of working on the area where they came together and after two laborious attempts and a number of hours was ready to re-sand the entire installation if he couldn't get the right results. He tried one more time and it all came together so you could not tell there were two installations. We couldn't believe he was willing to re-sand the entire work he had just finished but that is the kind of vendor he is. He stuck at it until if was right and anyone hiring him to do work in their home will find that same dedication to making sure his installation is satisfactory. Can't write enough about this gentleman and the way he displayed himself regarding the problem and the way he was willing to redo any entire installation if what he was doing didn't work out. He is the right man for the job!!"

The firm provided excellent quality work in the remodel of our master bedroom bathroom, completed the work on schedule, on time and within the agreed upon budget, and suggested very helpful design and product assistance. The project was a complete remodel of the bathroom that included removing everything. The shower was expanded in size with a built-in bench. The shower and the floor were tiled. The tile work done by C. McNearney is simply lovely. The grouting looks perfect. The shower was completed with a glass door. New fixtures were installed and relocated in the shower and replaced in the cabinet. Charles and his staff were a delight to have working in our home.
