"We had a list of items that needed to be completed (driveways lamps posts/lighting, cathedral ceiling fan, various fixtures, etc.) and a couple of more involved projects we were thinking of doing, like a hot tub installation. Harland Electric was responsive, prompt, courteous and professional throughout the entire process—from initial contact, estimate and work. They itemized each of the projects so that we could pick and choose the work that needed to be done, and were helpful in detailing the complexities of certain projects and weighing the pros and cons of having electrical work done. During the course of coming to the house and knocking every item off of our list (which took 1.2 days worth of work/time), they also alerted us to an electrical fire hazard for an outdoor flood light that another electrician from another previous company just left and said was okay. They replaced the entire light and wiring and now it looks great the way it illuminates our side yard! We even overpaid at the end of the project and they immediately let us know! They are scheduled to return in the spring to install a pool heater and we have no doubt they will do a great job. Overall, great service, highly ethical company and good value overall. Joe recommended going with a wireless switch for the basement lights to avoid having to run a long cable to the bulkhead doorway - that was a better idea than what I had originally thought. In order to find a pilot light switch for our attic (one that glows red when the lights are on - because you don't see the lights if you accidentally leave them on), he had to go to two different electrical supply stores. Joe worked very efficiently and cleaned everything up afterwards. For sure we will hire him for any future electrical needs."

VMA coordinated everything, Eversource disconnect and reconnect, town inspection, excavation, laying of conduit containing the new line, and installation of the new meter. "Jonathan did an excellent job. Replacing ceiling fan with a chandelier, installing a pendant light as well as replacing old bathroom fans were key parts of the job for which Jonathan was hired, along with other minor electrical issues that needed to be addressed. The chandelier was large and heavy and need to be hung in a room with tall ceilings. Jonathan planned it out and took a methodical approach - two ladders, who was going to do what, how, etc. and got it done. The next big part of the job was replacing bathroom fans. Jonathan did this well and efficiently as well. Jonathan went above and beyond to accommodate my request to install one additional bathroom fan which ended up being more work and time was running short.
