"We needed our lawns repaired after another company left us with brown spots & killed our flowers & shrubs. The second spring our home & our rental home looked very nice ! We were extremely pleased. That was several years ago. Josh D. was the guy who always showed up to treat our lawns. Very nice, answered questions, explained everything, made suggestions, really helpful. He’s still doing our lawn on yet another home, same court. He’s so careful of our flowers & tomatoes, we’ve never had an issue with him doing our lawn. Josh is very professional, friendly, and extremely good at what he does, so very much appreciated ! That makes him the best in my book, not sure I would trust anyone else ? Thank you Josh !"

"This was a nightmare. I have had a really hard time finding someone to work on my boiler as it is very old (Approximately 85years). The trend these days with companies is to replace old systems. My boiler really was working OK. I just needed water added into the system and I did not know how to do it. I began calling companies with good reviews and every-time they saw my system they would say, "Oh that's too old you have to replace it." I was like NO! All I need is water. Well, I called Kasidonis and their tech was much nicer. However, his approach was I needed a new burner as the pilot light was unsafe. Now, I gotta tell you my system has been in operation for over 80 years without a problem. So, I don't care what these new fangled technicians say. If it ain't broke don't fix it. But no-one would just add water. I understand there is no money to be made with just adding water. But people PLEASE really!. Anyway, I conceded to  allow them to install a new burner in-order to have the water added. Yes, I am aware that I didn't really need a new burner but at least it was cheaper than a new boiler. But after waiting 8 weeks during the coldest part of the year; the burner didn't fit. Now, they did provided space heaters for me. And that was very nice. Everyone, at the company was very nice and professional but I didn't need a new burner. I needed water. So, to make a long story short. They tried to sell me a new boiler too. Just like everyone else; just in around about way. I ended up calling another company that literally had to put my burner back together as it was in pieces on my basement floor. After they put it back together; they added water to my system which they said was all I needed. And my system was up and running again. Then new company did say that according to today's industry standards my burner was unsafe. But like I said earlier; they too said "IT HAS BEEN WORKING FOR OVER 80 YEARS WITHOUT A PROBLEM!" The new company did also recommend me to start saving to replace my boiler. Not because it won't work but they said the new systems are more efficient and safer. However, my system has been in operation for over 80 years with no problems other than the valve to added water is frozen in place so you have to manually add water. The valve is frozen because it rarely has to add water and so it froze in place from lack of use. I wish Kasidonis had just said no we can't help you instead of taking me for nearly two grand and not fixing anything.  I am not a rich person.

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Bedford, OH

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
