"Joe arrived early with his son and they got to work immediately, lifting each slab in turn and placing a mixture of sand and pulverized stone underneath. They corrected the spacing between slabs so they were level, evenly spaced, and aligned correctly to shed water. They patched one of the slabs that had begun spalling with a special mortar compound that matched the existing stone, so the repair is virtually invisible. They left the job site in perfect condition even though we weren't around when they left. We hired this company because they do not make holes in the stones to lift them mechanically; they lift the stones by hand using a special wood lever tool. Very highly recommended for owners of historic homes who want to preserve their sandstone slab sidewalks."
