"We bought a house built in 1930; it is partially brick-clad and has two brick chimneys. Our remodel contractor referred us to a mason who, because of other commitments, could only do one aspect of our job, and on completion, referred us to Powers. Variety, quality and cost of materials is discussed; questions are answered; work is careful, thorough and efficient. Masonry work needed is assessed and described on a priority basis. If your masonry needs sealing, it is only done after the correct amount of drying time is achieved -- careful scheduling and rescheduling is arranged around the weather and curing of mortar. If you want to re-use bricks, they are chosen deliberately for quality, size, type, and appearance, and they are integrated and set appropriately. Our job involved several independent aspects: chimney inspections, removing and bricking in of a window, sealing, rowlock and wall tuck-pointing, then, new construction with recycled bricks that needed to be matched to existing brickwork. There were multiple visits over a period of time, but continuity was assured through Ekraam, who continued as the lead on all the work done for our job. Another A+.
