"Jason was very polite and professional from providing the estimate to his follow-up visit. Ryan and Brian, the two install techs were very good at their jobs. It was a big job and they handled it exceptionally well. There were modifications made in order to transition from the old, larger furnaces to the new, smaller furnaces. We also had them installed new humidifiers and bigger 5 inch air filters. There was an issue arise with the way one of the new furnace’s were vented, and ended up costing me an additional $216.00 to change. High efficiency furnace use PVC plastic tubes to breath and for exhaust. Running the new PVC tubing didn’t go so well. We have a large basement with 9 foot ceilings and plans to eventually finish the basement. One would think 9 foot ceilings with open guises would allow enough room to tucked new piping up and out of the way. Warning to ALL: Never ASSUME! Once they were done running the new PVC piping the issues came out….and I know they could have been avoided. I put some of this responsibility on myself….. but who in this picture were the PROFESSIONALS! Anyway, from one furnace the new piping was tucked up and out of the way, but was inadvertently run right up in front of an existing air vent into that room. I can deal with that….I guess. The second, larger furnace venting was something I couldn’t ignore. The two, large pipes were brought in at the far end of the room (out of necessity I agree) but were set and run right down the center of the room dropping in height as it came. By the time it reached the place to turn toward the furnace the piping was just over head-height….and dropped even lower as it made its way to the furnace. Yes, I did give them permission to take that route only after being told by both technicians it was the <strong> ONLY</strong> possible route. In addition, what I didn’t know when I agreed to that route was the need for the pipes to drop ever lower as it came the length of the room. When it was all done it made that room useless for anything but a very large utility room.I called Jason the next day and requested he come and look for himself. He came back and after looking things over we put together an alternative, more obscure route where the piping should have been run to begin with. <strong>Here’s the kick-in-the-butt</strong>… Instead of this being a customer satisfaction issue Jason insists this is a customer pays to change it thing. At this point I just wanted it to be done and agreed to Jason’s request to pay the estimated $150 to $200 to rerun the piping. Bomar’s service tech had to come back anyway to repair one of the humidifiers they couldn’t get to work at installation. I showed him the alternate route which tucked the piping closer to the wall and up under existing duct work which also ran the length of the room. The end result was nothing short of perfect. <em>I only wish he would have did this to begin with.</em> The lesson here is obvious.....explore the options and know EXACTLY how and where <strong>YOU</strong> want the piping to be run before you allow the work to begin. So, with all things being said and done I would actually hire Bomar again. Overall I was very pleased with their work and quality of product and material they brought use. I would also recomment Bomar to others. I'm still not very happy about paying an additional $200 bucks to rerun the PVC piping in a way it should have been done to begin with."

"I called Dave for a quote on A/C Replacement on a 20 year old house.  The compressor had failed, and was not worth repairing.  Dave came out and gave a very reasonable quote on replacement of the a/c unit, along with options for replacing the furnace at the same time.  Since the furnace was 20 years old as well I decided it was a good idea at the time.  Furnace has worked flawlessly, and my house is nice and comfortable in the 90+ degree heat outside.  Dave is always great to deal with.  Matt does an excellent install, and makes sure the place is clean when he leaves.  I have had tem install a furnace/air conditioning unit in 3 of my houses now.  My brother had tem install one last month.  Great people to work with."
