"Extremely well. The schedule for the work was reasonable and each step of that schedule was completed in a timely manner. Materials were delivered as scheduled and carefully placed in my home. Baseboard molding and bannister spindles were removed, marked for identification and stored. The new flooring was installed and sanded. Todd expertly helped in the choice of stain color. When the finishing steps were completed and the molding and spindles replaced, the result was fantastic! The workmanship is top notch and the house looks terrific. I will not hesitate to use Juxtaposition Hardwood for any future flooring needs."

There were some issues with the prep so I'd recommend being sure your structural work is solid and just having them do tile work only (not installing cement board, niches or heated flooring.) "Luke, Bryan and Bhakti did an outstanding job for us. We wanted to open up our floor plan for the living and dining areas so they did the demo of a wall, then re-plastered the ceiling which involved matching a complicated ceiling plaster design. They also removed some decorative mirrors in the living area again, repaired the drywall and matched the plaster pattern. They also applied a skim coat to the kitchen walls then painted everything they had repaired. Luke was very knowledgeable as was his team. They were very service minded, courteous and friendly. Luke took the time to discuss the project daily with me and reviewed their progress/plans. There were no hidden costs and Luke also made sure he and his team met their deadline. We have found our team for all of our Handyman services, for sure."

"Empire did a great job with my hardwood flooring installation in my kitchen. The sales person worked quickly to writeup my estimate. The installers arrived about two weeks before my install to demo the multiple layers of my kitchen flooring (almost 2" thick!). This gave me time for the drywall to be replaced in the kitchen before the floor install. The installers worked quickly and cleanly. After the installers left, I noticed that a couple boards near the transition to my basement stairs were not flush with the stair tread. Empire immediately scheduled someone to repair this, and he did a great job. The floor looks great now! My only complaint is that while the new floor is a very good match to the flooring in the rest of the house, the lightest pieces in the new floor happen to be next to the darkest pieces in the neighboring older floor, so the transition is a bit stark. I wish I had noticed this while they were laying out the new wood, then I would have had them move some of the pieces around. Also, some of the old flooring at the transition to the new flooring needs to be refinished, but Empire's installers are not trained to refinish flooring, so I need to contact a separate hardwood refinisher to help with that."
