A pipe burst in the attic during a serious cold spell, sending water through the kitchen and pantry ceilings, down walls, through woodwork, and into all the kitchenware and food stored in both areas. After a plumber was able to section and repair the pipe (Jiffy Plumbing -- also provided excellent response at the end of their workday) we called MoldGone to try to stop the water already in the ceilings from traveling further and damaging more of the house. MoldGone staff returned my call quickly, and sent staff promptly to begin dehumidifying and scrubbing the air even before scheduling their work to remove damaged drywall and insulation. MoldGone staff removed all wet drywall and insulation from the ceilings, treated the beams against mold, assessed the infiltration to walls and woodwork, and secured the exterior door, which had swollen and would not close. Staff returned several times during the 5 days to check on progress of the dehumidification. MoldGone staff then reconstructed the damaged areas, replaced the old drywall with greenboard, and the old insulation with upgraded insulation. They replaced the exterior door and structure (not an easy task on a 70 year old home). Throughout, I was impressed by the MoldGone staff. Every one was professional, courteous, and obviously skilled at what they did. More important to me was they went out of their way to show they were aware that they were working on our home, not just on a job. That made the whole miserable situation so much more bearable! Communications were great; they were always on time and if there was going to be a delay we were promptly notified. But most importantly is their integrity. There was a room which needed ceiling drywall repair that we had forgotten was part of the original estimate. Several days after we had paid the final invoice, we got a call from Justin stating they had forgotten to do the drywall repair in the room in question. "We had a leaking water heater, and by the time we found it had been leaking, the water had done significant water and mold damage to our floors and drywall. Our insurance carrier gave us the names of a few restoration companies in the area, fortunately I chose Water Damage America. Water Damage America arrived the next morning after our call, and immediately went to work setting up industrial strength dehumidifiers to dry everything out. This process took a week due to the extent of water damage. Our project manager kept us informed about how things were progressing, and was always available for us to call him to ask questions, which he answered thoroughly. The crews who did the work were very professional and thorough. If they were running just a few minutes behind schedule, they called us to apologize. They removed and disposed of all the damaged materials, leaving nothing behind. They were so thorough, that when they pulled out our washer and dryer to remove the floor covering, and before replacing them, they cleaned the walls and the machines themselves, which I was embarrassed to admit I never clean and the area was filthy...not anymore!! Finally our house is dried out and ready to have repairs made. The contractor we contacted was very pleased with how well everything was dried out, allowing repair work to proceed. "Steve came out on time and was very professional and overall just a nice guy.  He assessed the damage and confirmed that there was mold. He tested for moisture and felt that there would be minimal damage beyond replacing the cabinet. I appreciate his sincerity in advising us to use a handyman or similar service to replace the cabinet since his company focused more on the restoration and cleanup and our need for those services was minimal and would be more costly.  I also appreciate that he tested a few other areas in our home where we had had previous leaks to test for moisture and water damage. If we need restoration or clean up services in the future, I will definitely call KJS.

"It seems this time of the year is very busy for carpet cleaning firms. I was thrilled that Natura Care was able to squeeze me into their schedule. They arrived within the promised time window and were on site for about 3 hours. We have two dogs and our furniture and carpet really did need professional attention. Or sofa, loveseat and ottoman now look new again. I was surprised that the cushions were dry and ready to use the next day. Our carpet had a number of stains that were removed. We paid extra for stain protection for the carpet which seems to have been worthwhile. We will use this firm in the future for our cleaning needs.

"I called 3 companies for estimates for the job.  Puroclean was the only one to give me a written estimate.  I wanted to get the work done asap so Mickey worked late to get me the written estimate on the same day he was here to assess the work.  It was so helpful in a stressful situation such as extensive water damage to have everything spelled out.  Mickey was very responsive to my emails and questions.  He and a technician arrived when expected, did the work quietly and efficiently, and there were no surprises.  He did not take advantage of my stress to push any extras and was never patronizing (single women know of what I write!)  Even though the work was in the crawlspace, I noticed a wonderful fresh smell in the house the next morning..  I only wish I had called Puroclean at the beginning of my ordeal with the water damage.  I am so impressed with this company that I have recommended them to my sister.  I think they are working hard to establish a good reputation and they are doing all the right things in my opinion.
