"Wilbers Painting company did an excellent job painting my gutters/downspouts and trim around my front door. I also had my front door stained which did not come out to my satisfaction the first time and I showed Wilber a picture of the door and he came back and re-sanded the door and re-stained it. It is beautiful now. Wilber stands behind his work. I would definitely hire his company again for future painting projects. Wilber and his staff were very professional and courteous. M. CASEY"

"I found Jose to be extremely professional, curteous, and always on time. He provided a detailed estimate within 24 hours of coming to my house to discuss the project and review what I needed done. I thought he provided a fair estimate based on the amount of preparation required to get my house ready to paint. It required scraping of old paint, sanding, priming, and apply 2 coats of paint and ended up taking 3-4 days total. Jose and his team showed up on time each day and worked diligently throughout the day, and would consult me periodically throughout the project to set expectations and to provide a status. The end result looked wonderful. My house went from looking shabby with peeling paint and rotting wood in places, to new and fresh. Looking forward to working with C&Painting again on future projects."

"We hired Wow 1 Day for 2 separate projects and each one was high quality work with professional service and communications. The first was after we had a flood and needed to get our basement painted after water remediation. The second time we use the company to repaint our entire house. They were great helping with color consultations. We let our kids have some say over there rooms but the company was great in helping with that process. They also helped us be selective about trim and doors that didn't need to repainted to keep us on budget. I would recommend this company without reservation."

"The team did an amazing job painting my 2 story condo. They were able to squeeze me in ahead of schedule and even finished earlier than quoted originally. I can't express how impressed I am with the work they did. I will definitely be contacting them again for future projects."

"I hired Gibbs Painting to make some drywall repairs following a kitchen remodel and had them paint the ceiling in two different rooms. My interaction with them was very professional. From the estimate to the completion of the work, everything went very well. They completed the work In the amount of time they stated, left the house in excellent condition, and the on-site team was very easy to work with. I would hire them again to do work inside my house and would recommend them to others."

"Billy and his team showed up when they said they would, they were very thorough and took care not to drip paint anywhere. Very clean lines, I would definitely use them again. Cost included all materials."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Bethesda, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
