"
Anita was able to schedule me quickly and gave me a follow up email to confirm the appointment. Additionally, she emailed me a reminder the day of the appointment. Very professional scheduling.

Curtis and his assistant Kristy called when they were on their way for the appointment. Both were polite and easy to discuss my vent issues with.

I have a very long run dryer vent ducting and have significant lint appearing outside even though there is lint in the dryer lint screen. Curtis inspected the lint screen and ducting. He cleaned the vent run and she taped the leaking vent ducts.

I appreciate dealing with professional business folks that care about their work performance AND return business.

Thanks Anita, Curtis and Kristy!

"

"Chimney Doctor's workman showed up on the appointed day, looked up my chimney with a flashlight, and declared that it was not in need of cleaning. The workman said he could go ahead and clean it for me if I needed a record for insurance or a realtor or whatever reason, but the chimney was fine -- they'd just appreciate my calling them when it finally does need to be cleaned. We had a friendly conversation about wood-burning fireplaces, man-made wax logs, etc., and I learned some useful facts. He left with my promise that I would call Chimney Doctor in a few years for cleaning.
How many vendors will save you the money for a service you don't actually need? These guys are obviously trustworthy.
"

"They did a fantastic job! I highly recommend them. There are many companies you could go with. Some may be a little cheaper. But Greg will likely be coming to clean up after the cheap company. That's assuming the cheap company doesn't ruin you carpet. I you want a quality job, call Greg."

"Weatherize Alaska booked two (2) days to complete this work. The first day was the crawl space sealing and the second day was the AEROSEAL Duct Sealing. Everything was completed on time exactly as Ryan Hunt had explained it would be done.
VAPOR BARRIER & AEROSEAL: Mikel and his assistant Taylor did the vapor barrier removal and new vapor barrier install work as well as the AEROSEAL work. They were both very polite, professional, and careful. The new vapor barrier was installed with good attention to detail to ensure it was secured well for the urethane sealing to be completed. Also, when they came back for the AEROSEAL, they were very careful and thorough to ensure no glue from the AEROSEAL got on to any item inside my house by covering everything in painter's plastic. They also went above and beyond by foam sealing areas in my family room where the recessed ceiling and ducting did not have complete drywall enclosing the duct work. They were great about cleaning up any mess associated with their tasks.
URETHANE FOAM SEALANT APPLICATION: Ernesto and his brother Elvis did the urethane foam insulation spraying. They did a FANTASTIC job! They were extremely professional, polite, respectful, and Ernesto's attention to detail was outstanding! He did the majority of the spraying and assisted his brother to make sure the spray job was even, thorough, and looked good. They worked hard and efficiently. The final result was a generous spraying of foam insulation with perfect sealing of all requested areas. These two young men did such a fantastic job I would highly recommend them to all my friends.
"

"We've used Envirocare for the past several years for cleaning the carpets in our 4000+ square foot house. Wade is exceptionally professional and thorough, and we've always been satisfied.
PRICE: This year, I shopped around after receiving a coupon in the mail, and found his services to be better priced even without a coupon. He usually adds in a small bonus, like free stairs, or area rug cleaning. Our house is large, so total cost reflects that. Invoices are clear, easy-to-read, no hidden costs or hard-to-understand lingo.
QUALITY: Great! Gets our 14 year old carpet looking almost new. And smelling good, too. Never sopping wet.
PETS: We have indoor cats, and he takes extra care cleaning their heavy-use areas using a very effective special product. Wade has never accidentally let them slip outdoors (as had happened with other contractors.)
PROFESSIONALISM: Very trustworthy and professional. Wade is often available within short notice. He shows up on time, is easy to have moving around the house, and checks in with suggestions and questions throughout the job.
We highly recommend this company.
"

"I bought my home in 2004 and it was built in 1984. Needless to say, my home is no spring chick. I had the furnace(probably the original furnace to the home) serviced twice with Klebs. Those were approximately fall of 2006 and 2009 respectively. Each of the times the furnace was serviced, the technicians that showed up were courteous, timely, and cleaned up after themselves. As for the cost, I felt it was on par with what preventative maintenance should be. In early September 2012, our furnace decided it had had enough, and would come back on after sitting all summer not being run. I called for estimates from Klebs and two other companies. My husband and I decided on a high efficiency Lennox furnace to be installed by Klebs. Klebs techs came, saw, and conquered! My husband was home during the installation process. When the installation took place, the air ventilation stacks were sticking about 3 feet out of the side of my house. I came home to find them this way and threw a fit! It looked atrocious! The techs were already gone when I got home. I called and requested that the ventilation pipes be moved and although this was NOT convenient the techs came back and moved the pipes from the sides of my house to go through the roof instead. The estimate was the final cost even though I asked for additional work to fix the eyesore on the side of my house. I definitely got my moneys worth out of Klebs! Fast forward 2 years. As a homeowner, I know it is my job to change the filter on my furnace. I hadn't. Bad homeowner! Our furnace shut down once because there was too much condensation in the little box that is supposed to catch all of it and dispose of it. That was the winter of record breaking snowfall and the furnace just couldn't keep up with it. On February 1st, the furnace went out again. It was super cold outside and we decide to use our wood burning stove to offset the lack of heat. We didn't think that anyone would be able to get to us on the weekend, but thought we'd call Klebs to schedule a time for them to come out and take a look at the furnace. We found that they have 24 hour emergency service and went ahead to ask for them to come out that evening. The operator called the tech, who called us directly back. Wayne was our tech and was courteous over the phone. He let us know there would be a bit of a wait. We went on to set an appointment for 9 Sunday morning. 9 on Sunday came and went. At 10, I called to see what happened. Wayne called me back a few minutes later. Another service call ran longer than expected. Wayne showed up at 11. He promptly got to work. He got the error codes and made a recommendation to fix what he thought the problem was. $60 for the part and $400 for labor which was time and a half for coming out on a Sunday. I was pleased when Wayne left because my furnace was fixed. Then Monday came. The furnace shut down again. I was not so happy then. I called and Klebs was to my rescue again. This furnace is turning into the vein of my existence! I asked them to wait to send someone out until Thursday to check it out since that was my day off. They were very accommodating in my request. Thursday came and John was my tech this time. My husband made arrangements for them to arrive I think at 8 this time. For whatever reason, 8 came and went, no John. He did call and was on his way. When he got here, he got to work straight away and had to call Lennox directly for help with this darn blasted machine. Turns out, there was some recall of some innards of the furnace that we did not get. He got the furnace working again with a temporary fix and made arrangements to come back when the replacement parts arrived. When the replacement parts did arrive, John was PROMPTLY to my house at 8 am sharp. He replaced the innards that he needed to replace and because I was supposed to get the recalled parts and hadn't, I didn't have to pay a red cent for all the extra time spent. Klebs and their techs gave excellent customer service. My only gripe, and it's a small one, is the timeliness of when the techs showed up. If you tell me you are going to be here at 9 am, then be here at 9 am or a few minutes early. Tardiness will lose my business if I have never worked with you before and don't know what great service you give.
"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Big Lake, AK

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
