"Mike was superb. The job required perseverance and Mike's never give up attitude paid off while working on my old house. The odyssey began when Mike tried to install the faucet I purchased. It did not fit. He went to a trade supple house in search of another that also did not fit. He was instrumental in getting the showroom to take the wrong one back, and recommended a helpful sales person who helped me buy an appropriate one. On the next visit we discovered that the holes were not drilled correctly, so the new faucet would not fit. Mike installed an inexpensive one for us to use until he could buy a special drill bit for cutting granite. Mike deftly enlarged the mounting hole, which was no small feat given the counter/sing/backsplash setup. He did so without damaging anything or creating a mess. He's also very personable and comfortable to be around and in the house. highly recommended."

"Excellent. I called Ferris Plumbing on a Thursday afternoon and left a message. Matt returned my call the next morning. After I explained the problem, Matt said he would try to get to me that day (Friday), but he may not be able to. Meanwhile, he suggested not using that toilet. He called later that day and said he couldn't make it, but would be able to on Monday. He called me on Monday morning to confirm that he would be coming and gave me a estimated time of arrival. Matt wasn't able to come himself, but two of his plumbers arrived mid-morning. I explain all of this because Matt's communication was OUTSTANDING. I always knew the status and I knew he would be arriving as soon as he could. His two plumbers were also excellent and efficient. They replaced the toilet flange and gasket, and remounted the toilet without needing to disturb the downstairs ceiling. I should mention that the toilet is the original installation of 48 years ago. The original gasket was completely disintegrated to the point that only few small fragments of it were left. They were also very careful to protect the carpet just outside the bathroom by placing a drop cloth to protect it. Their service and work was EXCELLENT. We are considering remodeling that bathroom and Ferris Plumbing will certainly be our first choice to do the work. I highly recommend (Matt) Ferris Plumbing."

"In January, Jeff came to service my boiler, which had been shutting off randomly and required several resets. He broke the bad news that the boiler would need to be replaced relatively soon, but understood my need to plan for it and was helpful in providing information without "mansplaining." He talked through options and answered questions. When I was ready, I didn't hesitate to go with Jeff and crew for the replacement job. The quote was fair and I trusted him and his team to do right by me for such a big investment in my home. The system that was installed is practically a work of art! They even tucked the new water heater around the corner from the original spot, creating more space in the main walkway area of the basement. They were communicative, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. It's been 3 months and the new system seems to be working beautifully. "Sila, after originally misdiagnosing my furnace troubles, stepped up and were awesome. They sent an emergency tech out, no additional charge, to get the correct diagnosis (needed a new furnace). The next day they had their project team out and after we agreed to purchase through them on a Friday, they had their install team in on Monday morning. So far so good. Helped me get a smaller, more efficient furnace, and didn't replace anything I didn't need, like a/c. I've used Sila for years for other HVAC and plumbing jobs and their always professional and timely. Not the cheapest, but you get great service."

And even though I sat on it for a couple of weeks while I got other estimates, once I signed off, the work was done within a week. Joe, the electrician, did a neat and professional job.
Village did two other major pieces of work for me in the past: lighting and wiring for a major kitchen/family room renovation and a 100 to 200 amp service panel upgrade along with running power from my house to my shed to power my irrigation system. Both were well done. That's why they were my first call on this project. I did get another estimate. They were nearly identical but Village was the slightly lower price to boot."
