"On Feb. 12, 2026. I phoned Angis and got a few calls, and I got Roderick Walker. Rods Deck Repair. He looked at my DECK, and I asked him to replace the screens because the animals come in sometimes. He said he would stain by DECK and add screens and nail spindles. Also stain the deck floor. His contract reads terms commence upon 2/13/26 and will continue until 2/28/26. He needed a deposit of $500.00, and I gave that to him in cash, and he initialed it. He said you will owe me $250.00 intervals in his handwriting. Final payment when the job is completed is $500.00. He was paid in cash. I called Angi on Monday and Tuesday, then he showed up. How do you paint a deck and not paint the steps with just 1 coat, then you didn't paint any spindles, you nailed a screen I had super-glued back together, not provided a new screen. I had a piece of plank covering one of the screens, and you did not move it or put a screen there. Also, he did not paint the side of my deck or around the steps going up or down. He told me that it would cost. $800.00 for his labor on this same deck and $250.00 for products, and he will pick that up when he brings the latis to put around the deck. This is the reason for the new price. He is a scammer. I am 75, and I am not stupid. I still have all mine, thank you, Lord. I wish you could somehow keep him away from our house. He met my husband, who is a Vietnam Veteran, and he is in a hospital bed, and I am in remission for breast cancer removal. I am not looking for sympathy just letting you know this guy when he saw my husband little that he knew my husband the one that told me to call because he felt like that paint job should have been 300.00-400.00 dollars He said I know you guys condition and I dont want to put a bad taste in your mouth about black contractors, hell I am black too. The thing about it is, why do you keep charging me a labor fee, and you haven't done anything to my or my husband's satisfaction? Why did he do that?"

I had asked them to come back out and check another issue but was stood me up at two different occasions. Each time they said they would be at my home @ 7:45 in the morning but never showed up. They never replied back to my numerous phone calls or texts asking if they would planning on coming or not. Very unprofessional to waste my time waiting for them when they could have said they weren?t interested in the job or let me know they weren?t planning on coming. Why make an appointment and never come? "
