"I contacted many surveying companies regarding this endeavor over the last couple of months. I want to say that if you are shopping around for a surveyor, please be aware of the vast differences in service, price, quality and deliverables (they vary greatly and seem to mask the charges and hidden charges in complex, nonsense, contracts and estimates). I contacted Mark and after speaking with him, the timely responses, knowledge and the professionalism that he represented, it was an obvious choice. He was upfront about cost, timeline, work to be completed and delivery timeframe. The work was completed on time, deliverables on time, price was great and was above an excellent overall experience in what I am realizing can be a very frustrating process. I would recommend and will recommend BBA Land Surveyors to anyone looking for this type of service! Obviously you can shop around, but if you can get these guys, I fear you might just be wasting your time elsewhere. Thank you BBA Land Surveyors, now on to King County Permitting which I fear might be a different story."

"Ford Land Surveying was easy to work with. They gave me a rough estimate over the phone and were available the following week. The other company I contacted was about the same price, but booked 5 weeks out. Darren got the work done while I was away from the house and left the corners clearly marked with rebar and wooden stakes. I received the drawing in the mail a few days later, and Darren was readily available to answer my questions."

"Steve Bodine came out and talked with me about the options I had concerning my project. Since the culvert is on Snohomish County land, there were restrictions about what we could and could not do. He gave me several options, was knowledable and professional. I received the bid in a couple of days. I accepted the bid and they said that they would start the permit process. I got a call from Mike in a couple of weeks that the county had changed their mind about which permit they wanted. He took the new paperwork in, and we had the permit in a week or so. I scheduled the job out for a couple of weeks. When nobody showed up on the appointed day, i called the office to find out why. I got a call back from Steve Bodine within 10 minutes. He said that because of the good weather, they had more jobs going than expected, and were running a little behind. I'm not in a rush, so not a big deal. They dropped off some material that day, and started work the following Monday. Dave has been the main guy on the job, assisted some days by a couple other workers. The work progressed at an uneven pace, but steady none the less. Dave agreed that they were streched thin from all the work that had come in. Several days he was here by himself. It took about 10 days to finish up everthing. That includes a couple of days that Dave got pulled to another site, as well as waiting for visits from the county inspector. The county asked Dave to address a couple different areas not included in or called for in the original plan. I laughed when he told me what the county wanted, but he was happy to comply, no questions asked. The job would have been done much quicker if Dave had a crew each day. For this situation, that was not a big deal. I must commend Dave on doing a great job. Everything looks great. I'm very happy with the finished project. Everybody I dealt with was friendly and professional. They returned calls quickly and expressed concern that I was getting what I wanted. I would use their services again."

"I contacted several surveyors to help with a property survey of my property prior to installing a fence. This company was very competitive in price and responded to my query promptly. In the end, I choose the company recommended by the fence contractor. But this company was very close in price to that company. I will not hesitate to give this company another chance if I need a surveyor again. Thank you."

"I contacted several of the surveyors listed on Angie's List for my area.  All came back with bids at around $2,800 with the exception of one, who came back at $1,900.  But like most of the other surveyors I contacted, he was booked out several weeks.   I asked one of the surveyors if he knew of anyone else I could try who might be available sooner and he recommended Linda Schroeter. Linda was available the next week. Her bid originally came back at around $2,800, and I asked her if she could meet the $1,900 bid and she said yes.  <br /> They were out the next week to do the work. The complexities of our yard required them to do two days of field work. I had the drawings at the end of that week.  There was one small error on the drawings, which I pointed out to them (they had forgotten to indicate where a set of stairs wrapped around the house and indicated a slope there instead). They were out two days later and I had the new drawings a few days after that. <br /> I would highly recommend them. <br />"

"Kim was worth every penny in helping us navigate the King County rules and paperwork associated with the critical areas ordinance. We are planning on building a single family residence on a 5 acre property which includes some areas of wetland. Kim provided an initial site visit where she roughly plotted the boundaries which she considered to be wetland. This gave us a good idea whether or not we could feasibly build a home on the property. We hired Kim again to precisely mark the boundaries and categorize the wetlands and prepare all the necessary paperwork to submit to the county for our critical areas review. Kim was always very patient and prompt in answering our many questions. I highly recommend consulting Kim if you are planning to purchase land or build a home in King or Snohomish county."
