"Had a retaining wall extending away from our house with a defective brick cap with failing masonry and bricks falling away left and right. We also had several spots on our brick house where the brick either separated or noticeable masonry cracks were developing. Of the two contractors I considered, Pete came by and took his time to understand the issues, match mortar and to propose long-term fixes (the first contractor just looked over photos and planned to repair what was a poor design). During the job, he gave expert advice on what areas to keep an eye on moving forward (i.e. spots where the home brickwork design could be a problem later). He also noticed a neighbor's brick chimney was actually leaning by 5-10 degrees and advised her to think hard about a repair in the near future, noting an expensive repair was far better than a collapsed chimney. In my case, he removed the existing bricks from the top of the retaining wall, preserved the vast majority of them (removed the attached mortar), poured underneath a new concrete base and reinstalled the brickwork in a way that apart from the mortar (lighter white, but essentially identically to existing) was really hard to distinguish from the rest of the house. He also removed / repaired mortar around multiple cracks around the house. And in one tricky area, he removed the outer half of several bricks (which separated on their own) and cut bricks to replace and re-mortar in a way that was again hard to distinguish from the surrounding brickwork. This was a 2 day job for Pete to complete. While the job was a little expensive, it was well worth the investment to make sure that the repairs would fully reestablish the harmony and attractiveness of our exterior brickwork. I am honestly a DIY kind of homeowner who really dislikes bringing in contractors, but there is no way that I could have done this on my own, at least not without leaving behind a series of eyesores... So if you care about your brickwork's useful life and appearance, or you have a complicated repair job, I highly recommend Pete."

"Their price was reasonable at $2900. I had other estimates at $2800 and some as high as $3600.  <br /> They were able to fit me on the schedule about a week and a half from the time I paid the deposit (sooner than other estimates). They started the job when they said they would, but it took longer than anticipated. They only work from about 10 am to 3 pm with what seems like a long lunch. As someone who needed a fence in a timely manner (and personally works 10-12 hours days on a regular basis), this was frustrating to say the least.  <br /> However, they did show up each day, used quality supplies, and kept me up to date every step of the way (great about this - the delay was not a surprise. I was aware of it as soon as they were). They also pulled up the old chain link fence for free. It was overgrown with lots of roots through it - not a fun job. The fence looks great. They gave instructions for staining it properly to ensure the fence lasts as long as possible. They also made suggestions for locking the gate so my dog, a Houdini at escapes, could not move the lever and open the door. <br /> Overall, I was very pleased with their work. My yard is sloped and they did a great job matching the grade of the ground. The gates open smoothly. The fence itself seems well made and looks great. I would recommend Parker Fence and Deck and would use them for future fencing jobs."

"The first project was electrical socket and breaker box work to replace faulty job from a different contractor. Second was to replace and rebuild bathroom floors, shower plumbing, and tile work. Third was to install wood flooring in kitchen, laundry, and front door areas. Lastly was to paint walls in bedrooms and kitchen. Following the painting, was to replace four windows due to rot. His quality of work was very professional, and all jobs are done in a quality manner that I am truly pleased with. I would recommend him highly to all friends and coworkers. <br />"

"I have used them a couple of times. They are real good. It was a small job and he did it himself and didn’t have his crew come in. I used him to put a roof on my house a couple of years ago, and he was real responsive then and was there when I called him for whatever. If I had any questions, he was there to answer them and stuff like that. He was on time and everything and got it done at the price he said. So, there were no surprises in that. The price was right on the nose and it was whatever he said it was going to cost. If something else came up, he just did it without asking me if it would be paid for. So I am real pleased with him."
