Customers say: Terrific value

"Scott s crew did an outstanding job at a great price. They arrived on time, painted kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as other small interior and exterior projects within a day, and thoroughly cleaned up. I would highly recommend them."

"Started and finished the job quickly and when I was told. Overall, things look good. However, on close inspection, the detail work was very poor. I found paint drips on blinds, counter tops, and wood trim. Also found a white paint boot print on my front porch that I was not able to completely get up. Cutting in around natural wood molding was not crisp (free handed and not very straight). Did not remove many outlet or switch covers and just trimmed around them. Foster claimed they could not take them off without breaking them. However, I took them off with no problem. Many of the covers were painted on. They did not trim around them well. I did not have time to let them fix everything,"

"Stephen and his crew essentially did a custom apartment for me, in a partially finished basement. There was a large den/family room, small 3/4 bathroom and a 9' x 7' "office" between the two. Also, there were no existing closets. In the office, there was a door that opened under the stairwell, exposing access to some of the ductwork. Well, jackhammers to the rescue, & plumbing was run from that office, into the Bath, making a small kitchen feasible. Also, to fit cabinets in there, the office wall was moved 6", into the den area & I've got a very practical, albeit small kitchen. The shower was rather small, but the crew was able to extend it by one foot, due to lost space in the garage side, & a corner bench was installed & both it and the shower head are custom heights for me. On the den side (my l.r./bedroom), under the stairs, are 3 pull out closets, plus a cubby under the lower end, with that door on the office side, becoming my pantry! A craft Rm. was later added to garage, also."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Blountville, TN

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
