"On Sunday 11/9/25, Mr. Sami Kovaci and his helper Adi came to assess a small roof leak, as told to them, occurring only with heavy wind driven rain from a specifically western direction: then it evolved into a contract replacing 2 ft x 10 ft of my roof including flashing and all other frills for $2000 - copy available. I cancelled the contract on Mon 11/10/25 10:50 AM for the job on Tues, Veterans day 11/11/25. He insisted that he will come, to do right by us, Fri 11/14/25 to reassess and re-estimate the leak and draft a new contract if accepted. By 10 am he hadn't come so I texted to see when he was coming and got no response. By 12:03 pm, I texted again saying again that maybe he didn't want the "smaller" job and to please return the $200 deposit. He called back to say that after 48 hours the deposit is non refundable, ignoring that the contract was cancelled within 24 hours on Monday 11/10/25 10:50 AM. It seems that "coming on Friday" was a play to say that the contract was void on Friday rather than Monday to justify keeping the $200 deposit. In conclusion, after all, he did not show up for either job, big or small."
