"It went very well. John came over to give me a free consultation. He checked both inside and outside for any potential damage. His estimate was reasonable. He was able to schedule the work within less than a week and the work was performed in a timely and professional fashion. I am definitely calling John when I am ready to remodel the bathroom in its entirety. <br />"

"I hired them to find a leak in my pool. Louis Martin was assigned to my job. He called and asked if he could come early to the appointment (pleasant suprise). When he and his assistant arrived they got right to work running diagnostic tests of the plumbing. When that found nothing he donnned scuba gear and soon found the leak (behind the pool light). Patched cleaned up and were out of there. Very professional, very pleasant - gave me his card to call with further issues. Could not reccomend more."

"It was a hard job because it was a small space but they did a great job. They were on time and it took longer than they thought it would but that didn’t matter as long as it was done right. They were very professional and made sure everything was kept clean. They kept us updated on what was going on and the owner let me pay for the shower unit and doors with my credit cards. That was very accommodating and they worked hard and did the best they can. They were not having a lot of conversation on their phone and they were not standing around doing nothing. They were polite and there were no inappropriate conversations."

"I needed to have the leaking shower drain in our travel trailer repaired. I knew of Ellis Plumbing by word of mouth so I called and they were able to come that same day. The leak was found and repaired in less than an hour. Mr. Ellis does all the work along with one assistant."

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"We used Bobby and his guys for our plumbing during whole house remodel. They ran lines for our propane stove, grill and fireplace. They were great, very thoughtful about spacing, symmetry and how the fixtures placement looked In the design. Stayed late to insure we were leak free, and always called right back if I needed something. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, right? I would definitely have them back."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Bonnerdale, AR

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
