"Chris has been doing a rather extensive renovation project with me on an 117 year old house. We just passed rough inspection yesterday. His prices are VERY competetive, and he is extremely efficient and professional. He even removed wiring that was done incorrectly by the previous home-owner without charging extra just because "it needed to be done right." When another unexpected problem came up with the age of the house and previous wiring, he was able to fix it without charging. I also had interviewed 5 other electricians--many recommended by friends and neighbors--and he came out on top. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know."

"I purchased a big deal for 8 hours of electrical labor over 2 years prior to the service being performed. The delay was on my end due to personal reasons. They were gracious enough to honor the full value of the deal due to my circumstance. I asked them to work on three issues: a failed 3-way switch, an unsightly CATV wire running along the ceiling through 2 rooms of the house into a 3 season porch and installation of a new floodlight to the back yard. Each of the three issues had an unexpected variable pop up. They were able to diagnose the issue with the 3-way switch was related to a faulty wire in an outlet that was on the same circuit but in a different room. Once they were able to fix the issue with the outlet, they replaced the faulty switches so that the 3-way switch was operable once again. While I knew one outlet was out related to the switch, I forgot to mention it to them which would have been very helpful to them in diagnosing and resolving the issue even quicker. The next item they worked on was the CATV wire. They quickly determined that the wire needed to be routed through a different bay in the wall than the cable provider had punched through. They rerouted the wire and fished it through the basement rather than through a bay that would have required drilling through a structural beam to get into the garage. Since the main issue we had was the unsightly cords, Joe suggested that I move the cable box, outlet and CATV plates to the behind the TV where it all would be hidden. This was a great idea and was well worth extra time and expense. While moving the outlet to behind the TV rather than at the baseboard, they noticed the existing outlet was overloaded. They fixed that issue by turning the 2 outlet plate into a 4 outlet plate thereby bringing the outlet up to code. The last issue they tackled was adding an outside floodlight. We had an existing switch and 2-armed floodlight off of one corner of our screened in porch facing the yard and wanted to add another 2-armed floodlight on the opposite corner. I had initially wanted the second light run through the soffit cavity but Joe looked at it and noted that the structure of the porch would not lend itself to that. He gave me two options to choose from: I could use an existing outlet and have the light be a motion sensor light or I could run a PVC conduit pipe outside from the existing floodlight box to the new floodlight box. I went with option 2 and was very happy with the result. He took care to make sure the boxes were in the same spot in relation to the corner on either side of porch (they look perfectly symmetrical) and used a conduit expansion joint so that fluctuations in temperature will not damage the PVC tube. There was a disconnect on the date of the service - I thought it was for Tuesday 24th and he had it as Wednesday 25th. Thinking back, I think he said Tuesday the 25th, I focused on Tuesday and he focused on the 25th. While it didn't bother me, he and his assistant had what some may consider an unprofessional banter. He offered the advice that I switch out the outlets in the house due to age and how they were wired (back-stabbed vs screwed in). He mentioned that it was an easy homeowner repair if I had the time to do it safely and carefully. He provided an itemized invoice with all supplies listed which are included in the total service cost. I would certainly look to them for future electrical work."

"Outstanding. A+ job from start to finish. Initial estimate was quickly scheduled and professional. The job was scheduled and done exactly as promised. This was a big project - rewiring a 2-family house (including thorough inspection and service panel upgrade) plus installing two ceiling fans. The workers were so professional, courteous and all-around easy to deal with that it went really smoothly. (Thank you, Sebastian, Camillo and Jason!) These folks really are experts. They also made sure to minimize the holes required in walls so that was much less than we anticipated. They constantly cleaned up after working in particular areas, which we appreciated. And it was very easy communicating with the office, as well, for scheduling purposes. We are totally satisfied with the work and very happy that we chose Markarian Electric to do this."

"Great company to deal with. Provided a detailed quotation, worked diligently to schedule the job quickly, electricians arrived on time and completed the installation seamlessly, as two of the outlets were a bit tricky to access. Would hire them again without reservation."

"Geno was responsive, professional, efficient and fair. We moved our kitchen to another room in the house and expanded our second floor bathroom. Both projects required complete rewiring as well as old electric wire chasing. Work included upgrading our electric panel and installation of new recessed lighting, stove, hood, electric disposal, under counter lighting, dishwasher, refrigerator, bathroom fan and bathroom toe kick heater. Most importantly Geno was timely and responsive when it came to scheduling. We will not hesitate to hire him again. If he's available, hire him."

"Bruce was highly recommended and his professional team installed network jacks through-out Breas Medical, Inc. Executive IT Strategies , Inc. was prompt in the morning and able to finish the job on a timely basis as scheduled. Also resolved some server room rack issues and listened to future recommendations to improve such mounted networking components. Bruce was even able to handle some last minute changes in adding Ethernet cable and wall jacks to a few additional department locations within the building. I was extremely satisfied with his work."

FAQs for telephone system service projects in Boston, MA

One business phone line is usually sufficient for your home office. A single line meets your professional communication needs without unnecessary expense. Having a dedicated line simplifies call management and minimizes costs. If you're managing multiple ventures, you may add extra lines via VoIP, but hardwired systems can be much more expensive. Using a single dedicated line enhances call organization and provides clear professional separation.

Cost-effective VoIP options can efficiently serve your home office or small business. A single subscription line provides robust call management without excessive setup fees associated with large-scale solutions. Providers like RingCentral, OpenPhone, and Zoom offer reliable communication services with a dedicated business line. These options ensure professional functionality with affordable monthly fees and clear cost benefits.

A hardwired business phone system is usually not necessary for your home office when VoIP services offer superior efficiency. Hardwired systems increase costs and complicate installation, while a VoIP line provides reliable, clear communication to meet your home office needs. VoIP eliminates additional hardware expenses and maintenance challenges, ensuring your professional call management remains streamlined and cost-effective.

If you regularly receive calls from customers or clients, having a separate business line for your home office is essential. A dedicated line separates your professional interactions from personal communications, improving call management and boosting your business's professional appearance. It also enhances the security of sensitive information and helps you manage costs effectively by keeping business expenses distinct from personal use.
