"We hired Maurin Landscapes to do our entire backyard, from pavers to plants to irrigation. The backyard was just dirt and a total blank slate. Plus, this is our first house so we had a ton of questions and second guessed ourselves a lot. Chris and his team (which is also mostly his family!) couldn’t have be nicer and more professional. They did a computer generated model of the backyard, fully explained his services and what was in the invoice, took us around his property to look at hardscapes, plants and turf and worked with the HOAs to insure the plans were approved (which was no easy tasks). His crew was awesome, we’re on time everyday and very clean/organized/respectful. After the work was done Chris came by about 4 weeks later to make sure we loved everything and explained our irrigation system to us, how to adjust it, how to care for our plants and overall inspected the work the crew did. I am the type of person that needs to feel comfortable with someone to give them a large sum of money or to perform work for me. Chris and his team are fantastic, professional and friendly. "Parson rock was the only company we found that carried 1" to 3" smooth river rock. The owner was incredibly nice. When we asked him what was the smallest amount of rock we could purchase he told us he would sell us a bucketful if that was all we needed. Every other rock company''s minimum amount was far greater then the amount of rock we needed. We ended up purchasing twice as much rock as we needed but Parson allowed us to return the unused rock and gave us our money back for the unused portion! Initially we had called Parsons to see if we could just give the rock back for free since we had no where to store it. What an amazing company! They are one of the best companies I have ever dealt with!"

"Fernando and his workers are always professional and courteous to me and my property. After buying the Angie's List Deals, I was promptly scheduled for a site visit by Fernando to assess the work to be done and discuss additional charges in advance. Fernando determined that I would need a total of 6 tons of river rock to complete my job. The additional cost for the river rock was $420. He also informed me that my irrigation leak could cost between $100-$400. By the way, my water bill has been at least $100 over from last year based on leaks that I have been chasing. He assessed site on Friday 8/22 and work was done on 8/25. On 8/25, Alco's worker arrived promptly at 7:00am to start work on irrigation. He spoke enough English to communicate with me about the job. He worked quickly and efficiently. He directed the rock delivery truck where to deliver the rocks when they arrived. Once he finished irrigation work, he started moving rock and placing them in piles around the yard. He was very careful not to damage my newly planted shrubs as well. He moved 6 tons of rock and spread them neatly in about three hours. From start to finish, the job took about four hours. I was impressed by how hard his employee worked and kept me informed throughout the job. I always take time to read the fine print and was not surprised by any of the uncharges. This is the second time I have hired Alco through an Angie's List Deal and would not hesitate to hire them again. I do not believe that they deserve the low ratings some customers have given them."
