"It went well, they came and did the job within a few days; however, now there are weeds growing through the stones/rocks... Not sure if the stones/rocks should have been hosed down prior to delivery - there seemed to have been clay/dirt within the stones/rocks, so of course, there were weeds in the dirt... They said they would come back and spray for "free". They also blamed the mowing clippings hitting the rocks; however, the weeds would not have formed that fast nor from just grass cuttings. This was an expensive job and I don't to start having spraying for weeds this soon after the job was completed."

"Not sure why Angie's List included a landscaping contractor on the list of contractors when we asked for brick and stone masonry contractors. The company we used, Q&S Masonry Restoration Solutions LLC, did a great job - too bad we can't give them a great rating on Angie's List. I hope someone at Angie's List reads this comment and improves their listings. I had to enter something for ratings; otherwise this feedback would not be sent to Angie's List. I can't say I'm very impressed with Angie's List at the moment. The landscaping company may be just fine but I'm not familiar with it as we did not need a landscaping company."

"There was existing walls that weren't installed properly from years back by the original homeowner. Diamond excavated down to the foundations and demo'd the walls and replaced with new block. They Parged the Walls and did new Stamped Concrete Caps. They removed quite a few Bushes that had overgrown, removed an old Concrete Pad. They created flower/garden beds. Leveled the Yard and finally seeded and then came back to overseed once the original seed had established. The project turned out better than expected!! Excellent project management! Excellent Communications! All Staff was Courteous and Professional. Their attention to the details went for the most part without me saying anything. Great at what they do and I highly recommend their services."

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Bowmansville, PA

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
